A young artist allows her imagination to soar when she paints a world of cavorting monsters and green sidewalk oceans. "The believably childlike drawings exuberantly celebrate the creative process of a pint-sized artist thankfully not confined to rigid directions or staying within the lines." -- Kirkus Reviews
Title: That's How It is When We Draw Rating: 3.4 stars Review: For being a poetry book, I found the text to be a little dull. I did love how it explored all the things people can do when drawing, and how we can manipulate our worlds and thoughts by drawing different scenes and characters that transform us into our own world. I found the illustrations to be the strong point of the book, which would easily capture a young students' attention.
