Interesting history of the carousel in the United States. Most of the early carousel artists were immigrants from Europe who brought their craft and talents here. The book has historical photos of some of the early carousels and the workshops where they were created. There are also photos of some of the stunning hand-carved horses and other animals that were so lovingly made.
