With the future itself on the line, I’ve got to harness my new powers and confront Midian and his demons head on. As kingdoms clash and magical barriers come down, I’m prepared to fight to save everything I hold dear. I’m ready for the ultimate battle.
The question is, am I ready for the ultimate sacrifice?
Author's note: The Bitten and Bound Series is best read in order. Kept is the final book in the trilogy.

I liked the story. I might be a little sappy but I cried a little at the climax. I'm a little lot miffed about some of the deaths in this one. I mean I'm not gonna give it away but one of them, the dude died right in front of Laurent....who had the God word power for heal and yet didn't heal and save this likable person. What the actual fuck, Ms. Pennza?!! Did that slip your mind....or based on all the BDSM in these books did you just want to hurt me a little with your heart punches?!! I'm on to you.
There was still many instances, especially during sex, where it seemed Given was the third wheel or we were shown/told Laurent and Varick's feeling were just sooooo much deeper than theirs with Given. Also, all of the intimate scenes were just Varick as the dominant stretching things out way too long and DP. Throughout this series there really was a lack of any romantic interactions it was all just fucking or the guys were passionate with each other while Given was just happy to watch. Made me feel like their feelings were, even if unintentionally, disingenuous.
I'm glad I kept reading this series and got to the end. Honestly, if I'd given up I wouldn't have been surprised by the truly breathtaking ending.
I genuinely thought the story would get worse, but I was wrong.
Of the three books, this was the one I enjoyed the most (I said the same thing about Stolen, but it gets better, believe me).
- In this third part Given becomes stronger, more determined, and more of a woman (less childish). Her decisions really do start to become bold and she stands up for herself, which is wonderful to see.
- Laurent finally stops being a sneaky bastard and starts telling the truth to those around him AND ASSUMING VARICK. I have to admit that he has a good arc, I thought it was wonderful how he makes it official between the three of them and the impact it has on society and the court of Nor Duro.
- Varick is still Varick, but I don't like him any less because of that.
- The dynamic between the three of them improves immensely here and we even see a greater complicity between them. There are even some comic moments that are appreciated and make the story lighter.
- The closing of the story with the battle and then the Rift plot twist, is wonderful. I loved it and held my breath the whole time.
HOWEVER, not everything was wonderful for one simple reason: too much SMUT. The sex scenes between the three of them are repetitive and NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY. In my opinion, the author wasted pages and pages of character development that could have happened with SMUT. And once again, I don't mind SMUT at all, but the truth is that if you take SMUT out of these books, you're left with around 60 pages of plot, which is too little.
The story had the potential for more, as did the characters.
I confess it was a bit of a turn-off for me every time there was a conversation about something or something happened, the world stopped so they could fuck each other... So, if you love SMUT and SMUT is all you care about, please keep reading, you'll be presented with a lot of DETAILED MMF sex scenes.
Finally - BROTHER JORDAN. MY PRECIOUS PROTÉGÉ. Favorite character, forever! It should have been different for him, but I confess that I found his ending BEAUTIFUL and I got emotional.
I started off this series as a love hate. I loved the relationship between Varick and Laurent but I have a few major issues. First issue was Laurent vowing not to fuck the princess without Varick yet he did. Quite a lot I might add since she herself said they fucked the entire time Varick was gone once they wed. Laurent was willing to throw away Varick to not only suit his own needs but then he broke a vow he didn’t even have to make when he gave his word not to fuck her unless Varick was involved. That gutted me because i fucking hate lying bitches especially when the male characters had been through so much together. It made no sense all the bullshit this king kept putting his lover through and for no reason too. Even in his worry over the prophecy none of that included him having sex with the woman. He CHOSE that. in fact the prophecy he worried about so much meant Varick should be fucking the female not the king so he simply indulged like a dirty bastard just hoping he could have his cake and eat it too. That’s a disgusting way to be. However once the book veered away from Laurent and it focused on Varick and Given in book 2 I was more so able to sink my teeth in because they forged a bond so deep with what they’d gone through and it felt right that he be the first she fell in love with. Sex and love are different and it showed that her connection with Varick was always much deeper even when it looked like hatred. So in those moments they revived the book for me ONLY for this author to ruin it on the homestretch because i’m a bit over half through book 3 and i’m not going to finish. The second Laurent came back into the picture sex became all about him. It’s ALWAYS the same. It’s like because he has the title of husband that he gets to fuck her pussy and Varick if he even gets inside Given at all is only allowed her ass which boils my god damn blood because the whole prophecy still could include a child born from Varick and Given and even if the prophecy plays out another way is it not wise to continue the elven legacy by two of the last elven born to create together? Yet for some reason this story is giving us the same generic sex scene on repeat where Laurent is always cumming inside Given’s pussy. He’s never anywhere else. Varick is always either fucking Laurent’s ass or Given’s ass. Although we know he likes pussy because he indulged in Given when Laurent wasn’t around. Not gonna lie the book should’ve ended with Laurent not being around because i’m so fucking over this same loop of what looks like favoritism because Laurent is both king and “husband” yet he wasn’t the first in her heart nor is his connection to her strong by any means. Lets be honest the best connection is between Varick and Laurent even though in the beginning he showed so much disrespect over the general he supposedly loves to the point of wanting to share his pain. Yet had no issues causing the pain by betrayal to his lover and secrecy. The second love connection is Varick and Given it was natural without the random add on of Laurent. Again I wish they continued to flourish without him. The second he was added back in it became the same loop over and over and that’s just not how sharing works. Where it’s as if parts of given are only for Laurent to fuck when it’s like for what? Their creation wouldn’t be as meaningful as one between Given and Varick. So it’s a clusterfuck that doesn’t make sense because there’s no fucking LOVE between the married pair there’s only lust and honestly even that is credited to Varick who gets them both turned on and ready. So i’m just over him getting the short end of the stick with Laurent back so i’m done rereading the same DULL ass fucking sex scene. If you’re going to dip into multi relationships/harems/ sharing then please learn to do it correctly without favoritism that is unfounded and doesn’t even make sense. Had it been spiced up at all with more turns taken then this could’ve been great but sadly out of three books there’s only ONE fucking time where Varick fucked Given’s pussy with Laurent around and it was only because he was trying to manipulate them. So yea fuck this series for wasting my time. I don’t even mind crude male characters i love bully reverse harems but Laurent is too entitled and the way the sex keeps playing out the same is tiresome which i’ve never said about a book before so congrats.
I originally rated the first two books 3 stars, but the more I read on, the more I started to become grated by this series as a whole and had to drop the previous ratings down.
The MMF in this series just didn't work for me at all. In fact I hated it. The MM aspect completely dominated every single part of these books. I let it slide in the first one, as Laurent and Varick had a decades-long, pre-existing relationship, and I thought the MMF angle would just be a heavy slowburn that would span across the 3 books. And in a lot of ways it was, but it still didn't improve at all.
I felt so sorry for Given (awful name btw). Despite the author repeatedly telling us that actually the MMCs do in fact love her and crave her just as much as they do each other, there was literally no evidence to support that. They were so indifferent to her the whole time. She was constantly left out, overlooked and forgotten about and it grated on me so much. They'd all be having sex together but only the MMCs would be looking at each other or holding hands, and only saying 'I love you' to each other while she is right there. It made Given seem just like a sex doll for them to use whenever they saw fit.
Laurent and Varick clearly had a lot more love for each other, which is understandable considering their long history, but at no point did Given ever feel like an equal. It felt like she could disappear altogether and neither of them would notice or care.
And I'd had high hopes for Varick and Given after their storyline in the second book. They formed a genuine and deep connection that felt natural and had me hopeful for where the series was headed. But of course that was immediately stomped out as soon as Laurent was back in the picture. Given was forgotten about yet again, despite the author trying so hard to tell us otherwise.
I couldn't stand Laurent as a character, and the series would have been miles better off if he was turned into a villain and not a part of the relationship at all anymore. Everything was always centred around him, he was selfish, manipulative, and lied and broke vows constantly. He was so unlikeable and felt so irredeemable in all 3 books. Varick I actually enjoyed, but how easily he gave in to Laurent at every turn was infuriating. I couldn't understand the hold he had over him at all.
Given had zero personality whatsoever. She was bland and had nothing about her apart from her powers. She was supposed to be the main character and heroine, but felt like like a spare part for most of it.
The storyline throughout the 3 books actually wasn't bad at all, and despite it being paced awfully and bit all over the place at times, it was the main reason I kept reading. The world-building wasn't great but it was an interesting one.
And the spice... As good as those scenes were at times there was just too many of them. It felt like every few chapters there was another one, at the most unnecessary times aswell. I'd turn a page, roll my eyes and think 'oh god, here we go'. They were also pretty repetitive and copy-paste. And, as always, Laurent was at the centre of everything. There was only one spicy scene, ONE, in the whole series that didn't involve him.
I did quite like the ending though (for the most part), and the epilogues were sweet.
The plot and characters did have a lot of potential but sadly this author couldn't deliver on most of it. Won't be reading any more by her, unfortunately.
It was OK. My main issue with this series is that that FMC seemed like a third wheel throughout the entire series. Even after they all make a commitment to each other (which finally happens 66% into the last book) the guys immediately cast her aside to focus on themselves. The other issue I have is the length. This series could be condensed to 1.5 books... and then fleshed out with more action to make 2 really decent books. We are reading three books of filler just to have the villain conquered in one chapter.
From giving book one 3 stars, to giving book two 4 stars, to this... The more I think about this book the less I like it. The smut still feels out of place, but it has become a source of irritation now. The plot is incredibly fast-paced, not very well built up, and it is all over the place. That's probably what sucked the enjoyment out of the story for me, trying to make sense of the plot and the magic system. It also became so annoying to read about how homophobic the vampire society was, because it's just never explained??? There's no tangible reason for why they are homophobic, other than the plot device it serves as. I finished this just to finish it, not because I was actually interested in the story anymore. Very underwhelming.
I’m a simple girl with a simple heart so if you give me an ending with I’m giving your book 5 stars. Mmk? Ok, got it.
Now, besides that, the series compromises of 3 parts that are relatively short. They don’t strive to impress with convoluted storytelling or immersive prose, relying on simplicity. They are neither pretentious nor try to reinvent our beloved oversaturated genre and I truly believe this was the reason I enjoyed them as much as I did. I knew what to expect from the start and Amy Pennza delivered full force to the very end. I respect it. 💗
I mentioned this in my review for Stolen, but this is once again a reminder that this book series is definitely porn with limited plot. It’s in my opinion also the weakness of this finale. I rated Given and Stolen both four stars. I truly enjoyed them both and the world building was fascinating.
I feel like in some aspects the conclusion of this trilogy doesn’t live up to the threats that have been lurking. Some issues are suddenly resolved and our main characters are very over-powered in this book. Not overpowered as in they were defeated, but over-powered as in they literally had too much power.
I mentioned this in my review for Stolen as well, but it’s even more the case in this book – The porn aspect of it became such a focus where sometimes for me it was a bit distracting. I’ve read filthy books in the past, and that doesn’t bother me but we’re in the middle of this war and just some lighthearted sex happens. I have to question it a little bit.
Also, the villain of this series is dealt with in one chapter. I don’t think I truly got the time to process what was happening and the impact of it all, sadly. I noticed when I was at 90% of the book and we hadn’t gotten to the main story of the series yet. To me that’s never a good sign. No matter what you do then, it’ll come across as rushed. No major plot point should be suddenly and entirely be resolved in the last 10% of a book.
The plot? Honestly pretty awesome. The execution? Ehhh… mixed bag.
I never really felt the romantic connection between the love interests. And I say this with love: this series did not need the sex. At all. The scenes we did get were a little cringe and totally killed my main-character vibes. Example: “Gimme that D.” “You’ll get it when I decide to give it to you.”
I mean… okay?? The dynamic between the MMCs just didn’t land. It felt more sexual than emotional—steam was definitely there, but the yearning and bond just weren’t.
The frustrating part is the potential was there. The world, the setup, the intrigue—it could’ve hit so much harder.
And the war? Felt super unbalanced. Vampires start as this unstoppable powerhouse race, and then suddenly they can’t even defend themselves against humans whose main weapon is… wearing mirrors to reflect sunlight? It was a little silly and made the whole power dynamic feel inconsistent.
I also felt like the story focused way more on Varick and Laurent’s relationship, making Given feel like an afterthought when she’s the one actually saving everyone. Not trying to sound sexist but… the men were kinda wimpy except in the bedroom. Varick was supposedly the general but was a mess. Laurent was supposedly a king but also a mess. Meanwhile Given is carrying the entire plot on her back.
And lastly: not a fan of the male narrators. At all.
A cool concept weighed down by shaky chemistry, uneven power dynamics, and off-putting smut—but still entertaining enough to finish.
You have to read Given and Stolen First otherwise this is going to make no sense to you! But, I am happy with the way this all wrapped up and feel in general my questions got answered. There are a few times I thought the story might twist in a different direction so it kept it interesting and on my toes. This has been such a fun series to follow and I feel we finally understand Laurent. I would be interested in reading more by this author going forward.
I received an ARC copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the third and final book in the series and you definitely need to have read the first two books to understand this one. I've been anxiously waiting to see the conclusion of this story and was excited that I could finally read it. It doesn't disappoint. I pulled an all nighter on this one as I simply couldn't put the book down. I won't get into it as I don't want to spoil the story but loved the story line and the characters. Honestly I'm a bit sad that it's over now as I want more of these characters and this world. Conclusion: I definitely recommend reading the whole series.

I was honored be an ARC reader for this book. Ms. Pennza has a way with words. She transports her readers to far-off lands with magic, drama, adventure, and lots of spice. In this third installment, we the readers are not disappointed. We continue our journey with our favorite Half-Vampire, Half-Human former princess, now Queen Given, as she is forced to confront the prophecy she was born to fulfill. All while the sexy Vampire King and his General try to keep her from making the ultimate sacrifice to save the realms. This book is filled with surprises, drama, and spice. It is the perfect ending to this amazing trilogy. I’m only sad that It’s over, but I loved the ride.
5 ⭐️ My heart ACHED at the end at Given’s sacrifice but overall all three of them individually went through so much growing up, and the fact they came together (no pun intended) and survived made me so happy.
The spice was amazing but honestly I found myself skipping it towards the end. Mainly because it was all very much same same “been there, read that” haha
I just loved that this book was so spicy BUT had such an incredible and meaty story.

Juat finished it and WHYYYY JORDAN WHYYYY???? WHYYY RHYYYSS WHYYY????
Really love it but one thing that just rub me wrong throughout the series is that the way Laurent several time would mentioned how his love for Given will always be different/less than his love for Varick but “they’re working towards loving her more” basically. For me, Varick deserved Given’s love and forgiveness because he redeem himself in book 2 but hell naw Laurent! However, the world building is interesting.
Given battles to save her world but has to decide who her true enemy is. This is a great book with true love, heated scenes, deities, epic battles of life and death and sacrifice. What more can you want in a story.. Some conclusions can be a let-down but not this one, in fact I wasn’t disappointed at all. I would say that this is a must-read!
“You’re such a good girl. So innocent and kind. And quite the seductress. You’ve fixed everything with that magic cunt of yours, haven’t you?” He stopped a few feet from the head table and brushed his hands together. “Problems? Easy. Just fuck them away.”
This is how the villain taunts our FMC and is why I loved and also was irroiated with this trilogy. The premise and story were so good, but everything halts for yet another sex scene. It was so frustrating I started skipping them. I enjoyed the conclusion to this trilogy though.
I literally lost some brain cells reading this. This was still not as bad as the other one but the fact that the poor girl jumped into abyss for these guys and they were still more concerned about the fact that they would not survived if one of THEM jumped really doesn’t sit well with me 😵💫
Unfortunately she was still a plaything for them and nothing more, with all the bindings and rituals they did that include all three of them
There was literally no space for plot because of all the awfully written smut 🤦🏻♀️
Overall, I really did enjoy reading this series. It is basically porn on page, absolutely. But it actually has some really creative plot to sustain it that I didn't get bored after the first one and actually read this one on ebook since the audiobook wasn't available. (That's when you know I liked it because ebooks are just so much more work for me).
The ending was a liiiitle bit too packaged up with a ribbon on top for my liking, but I also didn't hate it. It fit the story and also I think to have a more complex ending, the series would've had to been longer, and that could actually be worse than a little to picture perfect ending in my opinion.
Okay the way this plot is so compelling and would probably have been very successful if not for all of the c*cks and a**holes and c*m that just really filled every page.
The first book didn’t really follow its own rules. Babe why would you not tell your vampire boyfriend that your brother is plotting to kill him so you can avoid a war…..but then turn around and marry said vampire boyfriend and…start a war.
Anyway lowkey this book fucked cause I skipped all the sex scenes. So basically I read about 80/358 pages.
I’m going back to crime and punishment now I’ve had enough of being adventurous I know what I like and it’s not this unfortunately. I tried 🙏🏻
Good series with lots of smut and plot with female hero in the end. I will say it’s more MM then MMF scenes especially the 1st 2 books and the female isn’t the center of attention and feels sort of distant from the 2 males in the relationship and that threw me off. There were a lot of times where they focused on themselves and she was an after thought. Kept me interested but not my favorite so much so I didn’t read the epilogue which I ALWAYS do but I was just tired of the book and ready to move on.
If they had given Given's powers to any random chick on the streets the story would have been resolved in a week. She panicks if someone looks at her wrong. She screams her head off if someone pats her on the shoulder. The bad guy kept calling her stupid and honestly he had a point. But worse than that, she was just passive. Refused to go to meetings. Didn't study or practice her magic. Didn't try to do anything really except complain about how no one told her anything.
Literally the only reason she started even a little bit of magix practice was because she could do it during sex, and even then there was no inkling she was trying to control it.
It's just ick. Very much buys into the weak, precious, passive female stereotype. I very much wish the author had just written an MM.

I absolutely LOVED this series and was SO sad when it came to an end. This was my first series into the world of vampires + smut, and as of now, I have no idea how it’ll be topped! The writing in these books is phenomenal- I was completely sucked into this fantasy world, and could not put this book down. I saw some comments that stated this book was basically porn without a plot, but I completely disagree. Although this was the STEAMIEST book literally ever (totally porn- 5 peppers for sure), the plot was JUST AS GOOD. It reminds me of Game of Thrones with vampires (and lots of hot sex). I’m obsessed. I will definitely be reading more of her books!
Thoughts on total 3 book series. The action/suspension arc was great. Characters themselves were each strong, vulnerable, and written well. There were some unexpected surprises for me which was nice. What I didn’t get was the overall believable romance between the 3 of them. Except for the sex (which they really decided to have at the worst moments) I see an actual love connection between the 2 MMC’s. Besides saying “love” to the MFC, I see her as almost an outsider to the relationship.
I really liked this series overall & I think it’s worth a read. However, this book had too much smut - with little plot or character development in between - for a huge section of the book. I’m a fan of the smut, but it felt like the author just didn’t have enough plot for a 3rd book so added more sex. And with the same person dominant it got repetitive too. There was room for character development even within the sex that wasn’t done. That said, many authors of MMF or even RH don’t give enough of that, so it was nice to feel I’d had enough of the spice for once!
