Beautiful and Afraid...
Hillary awoke in a hospital in France, with no recollection of the fateful accident that had shattered her memory, of her glamorous, jet-set life, or of the man who called himself her husband, the disarmingly attractive Carter Bass.

With No One to Trust...
She dreamed of roses, of a love that once was, of an unfulfilled longing--only to find herself in a nightmare world where everyone was a stranger... and where she was the prime suspect in a scandalous murder

And Nowhere to Hide...
Amid the lush gardens and quiet elegance of Carter's villa, Hillary Bass starts piecing together a portrait of a woman driven by willful passions and harboring treacherous secrets. But when she falls in love with her enigmatic husband all over again, she learns the real dangers of forgetting... and now she wonders if she'll pay for the sins of her past with her life.

I guessed the answer to the mystery, as I had recently read another book with a similar plot. I think this one dragged on a bit, and repeated too much stuff, otherwise it wasn't too bad.

I do have to point out something: if someone's true identity was in question, and they were told the person they were supposed to be had a hysterectomy, all they have to do is wait and see what Mother Nature might do in the next few weeks. If she does nothing, then you can assume you are that person; if she does something, then you know you're not.

Or why not make an appointment with a gynecologist, using whatever excuse, and you'll soon find out whether you have a uterus or not.

Doesn't that make sense?
