There is major turmoil in the Kingdom of Viegald! Not only does Princess Seraphia find out that Sylthfarn is missing, she discovers that Merleawe has been pretending to be him. Then, to make matters worse, a strange and powerful guest named Ardi pays an unwarranted visit to Yue...
And we finally find out what happened to Slythfarn. In the worst possible way.
In addition, there's a villain appearing at the end of the volume but... how can I say... it's good because he adds something to the story but, on the other side, he seems to pop up out of the blue, with no explanations or back story.
Princess Seraphia finally learns the trust. A strange man from another country comes and tries to take over. At the very end we learn what happened to Sylthfarn.
I actually really enjoyed this volume because it had way more plot than the previous installments. I do wish more time had actually been spent on the villain... It all felt rather rushed. I can only suppose that's because the usual focus of the manga is on Mel just going around being cheerful and trying to learn how to be Sylth.
But now things are actually happening! I'm pretty excited for the next volume...
An extremely powerful wizard from another Kingdom travels to Viegald and once there, he easily executes his plan to invade the castle and take over the Kingdom. Only by his absence of emotion does he have weakness, and with this man comes a deep, dark answer that rings clear to Sylthfarn's whereabouts, an answer that was far too awful for anyone to had so much as dread.
This volume was pretty entertaining as a lot of things seem to be in motion. The pacing is slow at times and then too fast in others. I wish we had seen a bit more about this story's villain. As is they feel pretty generic and underdeveloped. The art continues to be pleasing to me and I genuinely do like the main character. So I'm interested to see where this story goes.
I have not had much time for reading recently (uni dissertation!), so I've been reading more manga than usual as I find I can get through one in about 20-30 minutes.
This is the fourth book in this series, and I think this is when I started to get bored with the same old story and gave up a bit.
Chaos ensues as one man tears apart the team and as a result the country. It was interesting to see the chaos that could take place. I was a little dissapointed by how it was resolved but enjoyed the conflict none the less.
