When Aria, who has the reputation of being the toughest girl in high school, meets Sakura, a man possessed by a six-hundred-year-old demon, she discovers that her touch is the only thing that neutralizes the demon in him.
Chika Shiomi has an amazing talent for depicting chilling and provocative horror stories that appeal to both shojo and shonen readers. Having created manga since 1993, starting with short stories in Akita Shoten's Mystery Bonita magazine, she has had a bountiful career of publishing both long-running series and short stories that have become popular both in Japan and abroad. Shiomi-sensei loves to travel and listen to Guns 'n Roses.
I struggle with this series because parts of it are intriguing, but it is just an ancestral grudge story (which seem to be common in Japanese media). I don’t really have an attachment to the story, characters, or anything that’s going on. And that is what’s disappointing.
Series Review: Night of the Beasts was a short but very entertaining. The plot was unique and the characters had a surprising depth for the limited amount of time for character development. The ending was really heartwarming and perfect for the series. I recommend this to those who like the supernatural.
