Bought this as part of the April 2020 “Spring Clean Your Life” humble bundle.

I originally thought this was going to be a book about how to apply cleaning and simplification / decluttering concepts to the every day and not just your home, but it ended up being very different and not this at all.

This book has simple concepts with a blurb from the author about each one followed by many quotes about or related to the same concept.

I initially was disappointed because of my perceived expectation mentioned above, but after a while I started to appreciate and highlight all my favorite quotes to save for later. It is a good book to return to when feeling like you need help remembering to slow down and put things into perspective. That said this is probably not meant to be read in full like a work of fiction and more meant to be a book where you find the concept that resonates with you and then read that section and corresponding quotes.

This would definitely be a good coffee table or gift book, but this is not a “step by step how to guide” a la Kon Mari’s Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. (But I guess that’s what I get for assuming the content of the book based on its title.)

Feels like reading a compilation of google quotes. But still appreciate the author who try to compile free online quotes. Lol
