It's a classic, but that Tom Sawyer! WOW! What a friend. With friends like him you don't need enemies. My book club is going to read "James" and reading Huckleberry Finn was optional, but I like books and I like Mark Twain so here we are. It got a bit tedious with Tom "saving " Jim at the end but mostly it was an interesting trip.

I re-read this after reading the book, James. The only reason I didn't give this a better rating was because I didn't enjoy reading the book, it told the story of a terrible time.

contains one of the most beautiful descriptions of friendship and love that i have ever read and it moved me to tears
