I like this author A LOT! He uses his artistic skills to draw children in to the magic of colors and shapes. I've been grabbing his Spanish translated books (originally in French.) My kids enjoy them bc they're interactive.
This was more simple than the others I read but still very cute. Shows what new color is made when you mix 2. Like blue & red= purple.
The story about mixing primary colors starts out strong with a good rhythm but just ends. It had me until the last page but then the text doesn't use the previous rhyme pattern. Like a song that leaves off the last chord, the book feels unfinished.
The secondary colors ask the primary colors about their origins. Shapes (another basic concept) is also a feature of this book. Add this to your storytimes about colors. PreK-2.
