Bear is desperate to make a wish when the last leaf in the forest falls from its tree. As he sits and waits he is joined by other woodland animals that try to help him catch his falling star - when all he wanted to wish for were friends in the first place! Has Bear's wish come true without him even realizing? This is a beautiful storybook by husband and wife author/illustrator team. It features adorable characters. It is presented with supporting notes for parents and teachers.
What an adorable book and such cute pictures to go with it. I have to admit I was captivated as soon as I saw the title and cover image. The little yellowish bear and the star leaf are amazing. A cute read for young readers.
This book by Heidi and Daniel Howarth is a wonderful book for younger people. I would say that this is a wonderful book because it is a very fun book to read, especially for younger kids and I would say this because it teaches a very good lesson and is full of excitement. The lesson it teaches is to never give up; don’t feel left out. In the book, the bear is waiting and waiting on the leaf to fall so he can catch the magic in the leaf. Also, don’t feel left out is a good lesson because in the book the bear was feeling left out, but the other animals thought he was crazy and they said “you have us, silly” which means that the animals were looking out for him and they didn’t mind being his friends.
I would recommend this book for younger children. I would recommend it because the book was illustrated for younger children and is full of thing that they would like, such as all the animals and how they were waiting on the leaf. Also, this would be a good book for younger children because I think that they could relate to the story by them catching “stars” falling from the tree.
