It's funny for Richard's name seemed familiar and now going back through his other work I can see he previously contributed, quite a long time ago might I add, to both an anthology and past monthly magazine for Black Library.
I'm pleased to say he can spin a compelling short, one featuring a character I definitely would like to see appear again and see where her further exploits will take her.
Incredibly enjoyable. The first couple of pages are brilliantly intriguing and atmospheric and the story effortlessly draws you in. The ending could lead to so many further interesting stories but I’m just as intrigued as to how we got here in the first place.
I’m not quite sure what prompted me to buy this story, I think it’s been sat on my kobo for ages, but I’m very glad that I did. A nice heist story that is hopefully the setup for a novel down the line.
