The left side of the brain helps solve real-world problems and is the "happy hemisphere" responsible for seeing the positive side of life. Drawing on the latest scientific research, this book shows how to develop left-brain skills such as language, math, computation, and other cognitive abilities. An introduction explains the anatomy of the left-brain versus right-brain hemispheres. Conditioning exercises and puzzles enable the reader to strengthen left-brain skills. Each puzzle includes a "brain bite" fun, interesting tidbit on how the brain works.

Building Left-Brain Power is a book that contains puzzles purported to enhance cognitive function. While I read this book, I had an overwhelming sense of deja vu. As it turns out, I owned a copy of this in hardcover. The puzzles are good. They cover various fields, but once you read it and know the answers, it isn't novel anymore. The book contains enough puzzles to last a while, though.
