Hog Down is based on a true story, but is a very simple story. Two Hog pilots are on a mission to find and destroy SCUD missile batteries. After they shoot up some other targets, they come across what they think are their targets, but in destroying the fakes, one of them gets shot down by a missile. The story then becomes a race between the other two pilots from the squadron finding their crewmate before the Iraqi army does. Part of the problem is no-one is sure if the pilot managed to eject, and there is no contact with him, but the two pilots are sure he has survived. The climax comes after the pilot is captured, and the Hogs then attack the two truck convoy he is on,before he manages to escape from the truck and is rescued.

it's an easy read, and while it's not a great book, it kept my interest because of the characters and the way they are written.
