On a summer night in 1983, a mysterious woman carried her baby into The Sunrise Cove Inn -- and their lives were changed forever. Forty years later, the Sheridan Family must come together to help them yet again, before the past is lost for good.

Top-rate journalist Lola Sheridan is renowned for her ability to get to the heart of any story. When a university professor contacts her to dig into her past, Lola jumps at the opportunity, especially when Audrey agrees to help.

But as Lola and Audrey dive into the professor’s remarkable origins, they learn that the horrors of her story align with the Sheridan Family’s. The deeper they go, the more they’re drawn into the long-lost world of Anna Sheridan — learning of her heartache, her loneliness, and her fight for a better future.

Dive into the seventeenth book of the Vineyard Sunset Series, in which a vibrant cast of characters live out their dreams on Martha's Vineyard. This is the story of the Sheridan and Montgomery siblings, a heartwarming journey of friendship, loss, and love that will make you crave the next book.

I need more stars—5 is simply not enough! This is truly an incredible gift from Katie Winters…and you’ll need a ton of tissues to get through it! There’s so much heart and love and sadness intertwined throughout this book—but the ending is beyond beautiful!

The storyline is a poignant reminder of how life can be so promising and hopeful one day yet so cruel and unfair the next. The characters are incredible and beautifully written. The plot twists and turns literally take your breath away; and the ending is truly magnificent. Finally…joy and happiness prevail. Thank you, Katie Winters, for a truly amazing and inspiring book. Everyone needs to grab a copy for their library! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and absolutely loved it!) ❤️❤️❤️

Heart Wrenching/Heart Warming

Katie Winters puts her whole heart in her writing. Her main characters are so real, after reading 17 books in this series, the characters are like family you're reading a letter about. Claudia, a college professor of History from Boston emailed Lola to see if she would be interested in looking into her background. She was put up for adoption very young and she wanted to find out some answers about her heritage, since she was writing her memoirs .
Lola as a writer loved investigating more than the actual writing. Her daughter Audrey, also a freelance writer, had spent many years by her mother's side looking through old ledgers and dusty old books. Audrey loved that part
of writing also.
The Vineyard Tide flipped back and forth from Lola's mother, Anna's time as a young mother to present time as Lola and Audrey investigated. The heart breaking mystery of Claudia's first year of life with a loving mother who had come with her husband and baby from Eastern German. What caused Claudia to end up in the child welfare system ?? What happened all those years ago is a story that is mysterious, intriguing and extremely heartbreaking but really worth reading. Thank you Katie Winters for a very eye opening story, even though this is a work of fiction it makes you question- could something like this happen in our United States?

A great addition to the series. Lola Sheridan is challenged to help a college professor, Claudia find information about her past. Lola takes on the task with the assistance of her daughter Audrey. As the mystery unravels it seems Claudia spent time at the Sunrise Cove Inn with her mother Fredericka. It seems Lola’s mother discovered a distraught Fredericka one morning on an early morning walk. Lots of history about immigrants and the challenges they faced escaping oppression comes to light. The story line switches from 1983, where Anna and Wes and struggling to make the Inn a success and raise their daughters to present day. What secrets will Lola and Audrey unravel?

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

A Vineyard Tide is book 17 in the Vineyard Sunset Series by Katie Winters and here we are looking at the past and helping to build a future. 4.5 stars

Lola and Audrey start investigating the past of Claudia, a university professor who hit a wall trying to learn of her past since she was raised in foster care. What they find is a connection to the Sheridans 40 years ago.

Twists, turns, journals, secrets, friendships, heartbreaks, loss, finding a family you never knew and so much more…

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy (ARC) of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

OhmyGod. Reading the 17 books of this series was the best thing that has happened to me this year! I cannot find words to describe how these books have made me feel. I'm forever a part of this *fictional* family and I have never connected with a book more. This series doesn't get enough credit and I will continue cherishing these books till my last days. This was so so so so beautiful! I know I'm babbling right now but I'm so emotional over this particupar book especially. Cannot wait to get my hands on the next one.

This book is one of Katie Winters' best from the Vineyard Sunset Series yet. Lola takes on a research job for a woman named Claudia. Claudia went through the foster system in Chicago and had no idea who her parents were or where they lived. She had contacted Lola after hearing that her mother had at least visited Sunset Cove.
As Lola begins to unravel the lifeline from Claudia to her past, she wonders if she had bitten off more than she could chew and she wonders if Claudia could handle the outcome of their research.

What a story! Lola Sheridan is known as a mystery investigator/famous writer - so when someone reaches out to help her discover her history, she jumps right in. Audrey and Lola dive into the research but find out that Claudia's search for her family is intermingled with the Sheridan family from years ago. It's a really sweet story that showcases the love that family has for each other - even when they haven't ever met before. Great story - must read!

Katie Winters’ writing and topics keep getting better! The connections that she makes with her characters is beyond expectations. The source of her story lines are very unique to include the present and the past. Love the branching out into historical fiction while keeping my friends from the series in tact!

Lola Sheridan and her daughter Audrey become sleuths in A Vineyard Tale. The plot involves Lola, a very competent journalist, trying to help a university professor find the truth of her background. Searching through archives and contacting friends, the reveal is startling. Katie Winters is just amazing at telling these stories. I highly recommend this book.

A great read as the Sheridans help a family who escaped East Berlin. Their struggles and loss of their daughter showed the heinous conditions they endured. As usual, the investigative research helped as they tracked down family members and a joyful ending ensued.

The Vineyard series has never disappointed. There has been joy, sadness, grief, lost love, new found love, old family, new family and everything in between, but the Tide has brought tears for the found and lost opportunities. It is the most interesting and intriguing story thus far !
