Rather dry. If you like history than this would be appealing, but I much prefer to learn about the systems and paradigms. His concluding chapter was also rather discouraging. What is in the future for psychology?

This was a textbook and required reading for a class. Overall, I enjoyed reading it and found that it offered some different perspectives on the major figures of psychology than I was previously familiar with.

I thought this was really good for a "brief" history, which is what it states itself to be. Only goes up to about the 1970s.
