Jean Adamson was a British writer and illustrator of children's books. She was best known for the Topsy and Tim books, the first of which was published in 1960 and which have sold 27 million copies. Adamson's creations were also featured widely on television in 84 episodes of Topsy and Tim.
It is a decent book. No leftist ideology hidden in it. In this day and time, materials developers might charge the book with containing hidden or 'covert' curriculum. If they did, I would disagree. Some nice and simple activities as well as activities for intermediate readers about 6 years of age. ( I can't imagine anyone naming their daughter "Topsy".)
