An illustrated guide to fashion explains how to use clothing to overcome individual body challenges by creating a personalized look and style, presenting more than 250 photographs and fifteen sample case studies to help women understand their bodies and prescribe cuts, colors, and fabrics designed to enhance the best possible look. Original.
very useful for when you're sick of all your clothes, need to make a fail-safe list of what to stop buying, and want motivation to clean out your closet and keep just a few basics that force your creativity, hence give you a new wardrobe, and make organizing a lot easier.
Many different body shapes and speaks to all areas that we as women try to hide or minimize. This book has some great basic tips on what types of sleeves, hemlines, shirt lengths, shoes and necklines to choose or avoid to put your best self forward. I wish the pictures would have been in color since some of the images were a little hard to pick up on in the Intensity section. Would definitely recommend overall!
A real work-horse of a style book given its focus on body parts. Haven't seen any other book with chapters entitled Big Butts, and Thick Ankles! The format makes it extremely easy to follow their advice on what works for those body types.
Another plus is that it uses REAL women, not celebrities. That said, its eye-candy quotient is not as high as the fashion mag books.
