Reading Between the Lines
The Outlander world has turned slightly since my last publication, series seven part one will air on 16th June 2023 so we are told, part two will air in 2024 and yes there will be an eighth and final series of the TV show. Diana meanwhile is forging her way through Book Ten., and now the burning questions
What will the ending be?
Where will the series end in comparison to the books?
What is the secret of Jamie’s ghost?
I do not have the answers to any of those questions.
Since my last effort ‘Facing the Storm’ I have continued to publish a poem a day on social media for your enjoyment. It has become the coffee time poem and a bit of an institution. I have also published two volumes of what is essentially a ‘chronological complete works series called Mille Basia, I hope to publish volume three in the near future.
I have also been working on a novel, yes its historical, yes it’s a bit of a romance but it is also a murder mystery. It is based in Wales where else!
The poems published in Between the Lines have all been written since then and many will not have been seen before.
Again, I will stress that what I write is a tribute and inspired by the books of Diana Gabaldon and also the Starz TV Series.
My cover artwork is again a pastel work by Lyn Fuller, who I cannot thank enough for her kindness in allowing me to use her work to enhance mine.
All proceeds from the sale of my work are donated to Riding for the Disabled, a charity which provides therapy for a wide range of conditions through the medium of horses. It is a charity close to my heart from which I have personally benefitted and with which I volunteer as a riding coach in training.
