Draw Near Unto Me is a beautiful collection of daily meditations on the teachings of the Doctrine and Covenants. This convenient, pocket-sized volume presents a verse of scripture for each day of the year, along with insights from the authors. Lloyd D. Newell and Robert L. Millet serve as guides on a scriptural tour of latter-day revelation, with commentary on such fundamental maters as the nature of the Godhead, the reality of Satan, and the purpose of mortality. In the hurry and worry of everyday life, these daily reflections will calm the spirit, enlighten the mind, and provide sustenance for the soul.
This was a good companion to my year-long study of the Doctrine and Covenants. It has a daily devotional layout with a verse of scripture plus commentary.
This book was a great companion to the Doctrine and Covenants. I enjoyed that it kind of kept me on track and offered some good insights to my reading as well. Though I did not follow it perfectly day by day, I really enjoyed going through and having a sort of guide to follow through the year/through the Doctrine and Covenants. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a little extra insight and inspiration each day!
