A brand new Western adventure from Paul L. Thompson and Casey Nash!
It had been over two years since Jubal Stone and Shorty Thompson had shared trail together. When Stone takes Thompson up on an invite to an elk hunt in New Mexico, neither man knows the fate that awaits him.
Coming back to camp from a bone-chilling fall morning hunt, the marshals quickly realize their harvested elk has been stolen, along with their riding horses and pack horses. From the signs left behind, Shorty quickly determines it is Indians who did the dirty deed. When the two lawmen follow the horse tracks back to the Indian camp, they see a half dozen hogans and smoke coming out of the top of all of them. Shorty slowly looks back at his compadre and says, “Navajo, Jubal.”
But that’s not all these lawmen see. What have they happened upon? Will this elk hunt be the respite these marshals were looking for or just the opposite?
Come along with these frontier lawmen and find out. It’s guaranteed to be an adventure you’ll not soon forget.
Jubal goes on an elk hunt for fun with Shorty Thompson. The only problem, a band of reservation jumping, settler killing, and horse stealing Indians have to be stopped. Lots of action. Needs deep edit...shodder Instead of soldier is often used. Several other errors copy this grammar misuse.
I just smiled when everyone wanted Jubal to go on elk hunt with Shorty. He needed time away. But like everything else trouble always follows Jubal. Shorty said nothing can be simple when his pare is involved. So another exciting story of Jubal Stone US Marshall.
This turned out to be a very good book. A lot of adventure in this story. I don’t think Jubal will be doing much hunting with Shorty any time soon. All in all, I thought it was great and recommend it to read. Well done!!!
