Robin Patchen is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author of Christian romantic suspense. She grew up in a small town in New Hampshire, the setting of her Nutfield Saga books, and then headed to Boston to earn a journalism degree. After college, working in marketing and public relations, she discovered how much she loathed the nine-to-five ball-and-chain. After relocating to the Southwest, she started writing her first novel while she homeschooled her three children. The novel was dreadful, but her passion for storytelling didn’t wane. Thankfully, as her children grew, so did her writing ability. Now that her kids are adults, she has more time to play with the lives of fictional heroes and heroines, wreaking havoc and working magic to give her characters happy endings. When she’s not writing, she’s editing or reading, proving most of her life revolves around the twenty-six letters of the alphabet. Convenient Lies

What do you get when you cross a desperate lady running for her life and a detective who still carries a flame for her? You get suspense, intrigue, romance, drama, and an edge of your seat thriller. In this story you met Rae who decides to go on the run with her newborn son once she discovers she has married a terrorist. But what do you need to live life on the run - money. So her journey begins in her hometown where she hopes to find some gold coins her father had hidden years ago to fund her life on the run. While there, she crosses paths with an old beau Brady who is a police detective. Brady can tell something is going on with Rae but she refuses to tell him anything as she is worried for his life. Rae knows her husband will stop at nothing to find her and their son. So Rae is forced to choice between confiding in Brady and protecting him.

This is just when the drama heats up as several bombings make it clear to Rae that her husband is desperate to find them and is closing in. But Brady wouldn't just leave well enough alone, he keeps drilling her for information and as they spend more and more time together, the old flames of romance begin to bloom once again. But can their be any future for them with Rae on the run from her husband. Can Brady come up with a plan to help Rae in time. How many lives will be lost in the process? Is there any hope in this hopeless situation?

Highly recommend this suspenseful drama. Get a copy and prepare to be drawn into Rae and Brady's lives and to not want to put the book down. And I have to say that the ending will surprise you and no I am not going to give you any clues.

Twisted Lies

Suspenseful, action filled story about fraud, theft, kidnapping and murder that will keep you guessing all along the way. To me a good suspense novel is one that you get caught up in the story such that you don't want to put it down, that gives enough clues to keep you guessing but then surprises you in how it all turns out. And this book delivers on all of that, I was instantly pulled into the story, trying to anticipate who the bad guys were and how it was going to end but was consistently surprised at the turns in the storyline. So don't hesitate, get a copy of this book and prepare to get caught up in Marisa and Nate's lives, to route for the overall outcome, and to be sitting on the edge of your seat the whole time.

In this story, you will follow Marisa whose life is touched by crime even though she is innocent, she becomes a pawn in others schemes for worldly riches and not just once but multiple times. When the story begins you will learn that a bad situation caused Marisa to escape to Mexico where 8 years later she is pulled back into a race for her life and the lives of those she loves. And she is forced to trust Nate with her life once again just like she did 8 years ago. Both Marisa and Nate feel her life spiral out of control while they seek to make things right and hopefully come out alive. And during all of it, you can see Marisa and Nate being drawn to one another but their encounters all hinge around bad and risky situations. And they both ponder what the future holds for them if and when they can find themselves free from danger.

Though all the suspense and drama, I love how the characters are seen depending on God. While God is not a major element in the story, there are various mentions of prayer and trusting God that everything will work out okay. And at one point, a character mentions that they could feel God's presence all along the journey. Also, several mentions are made about God's presence smelling like rain. I really liked that analogy. Oh how I have always loved the smell of rain but now it will take on a new meaning.

Lastly, my favorite quote from the book is defining a hero as someone who fights to do the right thing despite possible danger to themselves. As in the book the true hero doesn't feel like a hero at all but a good friend tells them that they truly are a hero because they put themselves in harms way just to do the right thing. And in that light, we can all be heroes on any given day.

Generous Lies

Very real, intense story about fathers and their teenage sons and how far a father will go to protect his son. Then add in drugs, bad guys, anxiety disorders, panic attacks and danger and you have a story that will have you rooting for the good guys and planning against the bad guys.

Absolutely loved this story, very real to life with intriguing situations. I loved how 2 different father son stories are contrasted in the storyline. One family is made up of a loving involved father who realizes it's time to take drastic measures as his teenage son spirals out of control. In fact at one point he questions whether it is more loving to shelter his son from consequences or send him away to get help. While this teenagers best friend has a father who not only is never around but who is involved in shady deals and ends up putting his son in danger. How will these fathers maneuver the muddy waters of angry teenage sons? And on top of all that is a friend of the loving father who provides a getaway place but reveals her own issues, she suffers from panic attacks and assumes no one could love her. Could this friendship become something more or will the parenting of an angry addicted son consume all his time?

So get your copy today so you don't miss out on this story about love, sacrifice, and bravery. A quote from the book defines bravery as facing your fears.

Book 1: This one kept me so engrossed & on the edge of my seat waiting for the ball to drop-meaning the bad husband to find his wife & child. It's one book you can't put down till the end. I was very satisfied with the ending for the husband too. There is an HEA for Rae.
Book 2: I found this book full of twists & turns trying to figure out who stole the money, who has little Anna & whether there will be a happy ending. I never would have guessed who one of the kidnappers was nor that that person would get killed. The second kidnapper was surprise #2. Then the person with the money was the third surprise. I think it is a well-written mystery.
Book 3: Garrison has a problem with his addictive son. Then there is his son's friend who has problems with his father that eventually puts the 3 adults & 2 teenagers in jeopardy of being killed. There is a mystery, too, about what someone wants back. It's quite a mystery that is not revealed till close to the end. I don't agree that it is a Christian book, however.
Ms. Patchen is an excellent mystery writer that I enjoy.

Set in Nutfield New Hampshire, each of these three stories are similar in format: one of the main characters has had a previous marriage that didn't go well and their spouse was involved in something illegal or they have been involved in something in their past that connected them to someone who was involved in illegal activities .

Well written, Patchen connects each of the three books together with a group of friends who help one another when 3 different members of the group (thus the 3 stories) finds themselves caught in the middle of something illegal or dangerous.

I enjoyed reading these books. The story lines were well thought out and interesting. The reason I chose to read them was because they were listed as Christian. They were mostly questioning of there is a God and not once, even when the main character was supposed to be a Christian there was no gospel, no mention of the Grace of God or of Jesus saving sacrifice.

Excellent storytelling

Very fun read, I was excited to see what came next. Some parts were stereotypical and expected and there could have been more Christianity in the book labeled Christian romance. But I did enjoy the books start to finish and happy with the storytelling and the attention to detail, as well as the recurring characters

Excellent!

I really enjoyed the first three stories in the Nutfield Saga series. Very well written with great characters and plots, tons of suspense, just the right amount of romance, and best of all … no bad language or sex. I’ll definitely be reading more by this author.

These three books were great! My first time reading
Robin Patchen’s books and they won’t be the last. They keep the mystery moving and still have clean romance involved. I recommend these highly!

A series about women of extraordinary strength who will pray and believe for the people they love

Three different women, three different scenarios, all filled with faith, hope and love, women whose strength comes from the Lord. They never gave in, gave up nor backed down.

Readers need to know that there is a shooting death of a pet dog within the early part of Book 1. It is meant to show how the villain was shaped by his father's abuse. But I stopped reading and returned the book.

These books were very good. The first two were excellent...gripping, tense and fast moving. The third book was a bit of a disappointment.......after the first two this one was mediocre.....not much suspense. I was disappointed that these books being Christian suspense that not much of the Lord was portrayed .....but saying all that I do think it is worthy of 5 stars
