Unafraid: Just Getting Started

Rate this book
"An unmatched champion for the America First movement, Kari Lake in her first book, Just Getting Started, outlines her journey from being the most beloved newscaster and broadcast journalist in Arizona to the leader of the largest grassroots movement in the state's history. Kari Lake shares an exclusive, uncensored look inside her journey. From the time she walked away from the media, to the beginning of her bid for governor, her David and Goliath primary campaign, her endorsement from the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, and the events of the general election campaign that led to the sabotaged Arizona election of 2022. This is the story of how a wife and a mother of two became what the mainstream media called "The Most Dangerous Politician in America." This is the story of a Mama Bear who believes that politicians should answer to We the People. It's a story of a woman who takes a sledgehammer to every obstacle she faces. This is the story of how Kari Lake is Unafraid."--

Pathetic attempt to justify a waste of space. Ms Lake is the embodiment of the political sycophant bent on personal power at the expense of her state or country’s well being. A true embarrassment not only to the state of Arizona, but also herself. Her tragic fall from a promising journeyman into politics having built in constituency as a likable former news anchor imploded spectacularly. In lieu of serving the people she served herself with blatant lies about the election in which she lost. Her platform never gets over the fever dream of Trump’s pathetic whining about the illegitimacy of the 2020 national election and loss to Biden. She is obsessed with personal grievances regarding her loss in the Arizona governor’s 2022 election.

In the end her book marks another example of the de evolution of the Republican Party. Supposedly she represents the disenfranchised citizen seeking a populist champion. Instead we get a sad and pathetic wannabe parody set on riding the coattails of a clinical narcissist. Nothing about Ms Lake’s book is redeeming as it is in the end a vehicle to perpetuate the aforementioned selfish destructive effort to put personal gain ahead of the public good.

This isn’t a book or person deserving of this much effort in writing a review, but perhaps it will save someone the money and aggravation. We still live in a country that allows Lake to spew her hateful lies, but the irony is she would suppress any voice of dissent and opposition in her version of America. Lake would do well to go back to her Alma Mater, The University of Iowa, and try again. She clearly wasted her education the first time around.

The author's forthrightness is very welcome. There is a lot of insight into the media and politics in this book.

Idk how anyone can read this and not be furious with what’s going on in our country. It’s not just about Kari Lake, it’s about all of the problems we’ve had with elections over the years. The evidence is overwhelming and yet people still roll their eyes and walk away. Both sides should be angry and concerned. We’re no better than the countries we trash talk over their openly corrupt elections/government.

4.5 , rounding up with a bonus half star which I dedicate to all the leftist who merely review bomb this book (following their marching orders) rather than read its content and think for themselves.

Kari Lake is an important voice in the America first (MAGA) wing of the republican party. I enjoyed this book immensely. The author reviews her upbringing and values, entry and career as a TV news anchor, leaving her career, entering into politics, political ideas and how to get this country back on track, the influence and relationship with President Trump, the gubernatorial race and highly suspicious events that led to her "loss." Lest I forget her faith in God.

There's lots of gold to mine from this book. I walked away from this book knowing our country is in real danger from the "uniparty" (democrats and RINO's) and elite globalist, but also with a great sense of hope that there's an entire movement willing to counter it. This country hangs in the balance, I hope we can restore it, and Lake is presently an important voice that can no doubt inspire us to fight for it. 1776 onward is the last best hope for mankind.

Two quotes come to mind as I read this book. (Neither are mentioned in this book)

"The division in our nation is not between Democrats and Republicans, but it is a war to save our nation’s values. It is a choice between 'normal and crazy."
- Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Gov. Arkansas

If you can tolerate self-absorbed people and how they put themselves on an imaginary pedestal, go for it! True Christians are humble, care about others even though they might not agree with them and spread peace, not violence and hate. This book was given to me for my professional opinion and here it is. Her next flop should be named "Poster Child of Insecurity".

I borrowed this from my local library. They had it listed as a biography but it’s more of a book about her run for Governor of Arizona and the corruption of the deep state, not a biography of her life per-say. Her election was stolen from her just as the Presidential election was stolen from President Trump two years prior with the corruption of Maricopa County Arizona prevalent in both. It’s a well written book that’s a must read for patriots that hold this country and its founding dear to their hearts. It exposes the corruption of the current ruling class in this country and their efforts to destroy America as it was founded and maintain a hold on power in perpetuity by stealing every election rendering your vote meaningless.

Kari- you are here with us today for such a time as this. They mean evil against you, our beautiful country, and its children. But I hold firm that God will use it for good. And we know! The Sound of Freedom!

This woman is a fighter and I love her! Maricopa County is a corrupt mess along with other counties throughout the U.S. The one-star reviews are most likely from people who haven't read the book. So much hatred in the world. The cancel culture is alive and flourishing on Goodreads!

I checked this out from the library because I can’t stand this woman. I thought reading her life story would at least help me to understand her - it didn’t.

I didn’t get very far into this egotistical look at herself. She glorifies Trump and God page after page, more than I could take. I’ve never seen someone so sold on herself. She is so far off base as to be scary. She and Palin are two peas in a pod, blinded by the glitter and gaudiest of an fat, orange, naked emperor!!

You’d have to be part of the Trump cult to be able to stomach all these false assumptions she professes. I’m stopping because it is just getting me madder.😱

Being a fellow Arizonan and a huge supporter of Kari Lake from the get go, I knew all about the tragedy of the stolen election, witnessing first hand, so there was a lot I knew already, knowing all that, I still enjoyed hearing more of the inside story. Hobbes is a squatter and the courts are compromised. Kari would have dealt with the border which every day it is becoming apparent that bad actors and evildoers are invading our country. Israel has been attacked by brutal animals that have no respect for human beings and our government, Biden and his followers are bringing this style of terror to America, it is only be matter of time!
I cannot understand why politicians are selling our country, do they not think of the future, when their children and children's children will no longer be free, because America will be lost if the course is not changed, NOW! MAGA!

If you had to choose 5 people in the world to give a chill pill to, Kari Lake would need to take all 5.

If you are feeling a little crazy, read Lake’s book. You’ll feel better about yourself, because at least you’re not that crazy.

I enjoyed reading her story! Kari is a force to be reckoned with and I would hate to get on her bad side! Whether you agree with her politics or not, election integrity is important. I grew up in Philly where it was known to be rigged. In fact during one election, in order to get a moderate Democrat in because no Republican can win, many of us changed to Democrat before the primary in order to vote for Michael Nutter who went on to win the primary and the mayoral election. This tactic is not only lawful but works in the end unfortunately we didn't do that in 2016 and Mayor Kinney got elected. This is what happens when you fall asleep at the wheel. We shouldn't have to do this and we wouldn't if elections had integrity and laws to reassure that no one gets disenfranchised. Call me an election denier but I believe she did win that election and I hope she can prove it. Why are Kari or any of us for that matter called election deniers when both Stacy Abrams and Hillary Clinton deny their losses? Why aren't they treated the same?
Anyway, I would recommend this book. I learned alot about her and her viewpoints by reading this book. It was a quick read but also pretty exciting too! I am going to follow her political career and hope she never gives up the fight. It is a fight that should interest people of all walks of life.

A great book written by a strong, independent woman. Lake is a fighter and this book provides an inside look into her fight against corruption, media bias, censorship, and left wing extremism. The book tells Lake story from her humble roots to becoming a leading figure in the America First movement. It provides insight into how she became the woman she is now and why she left the Democrat party and became a Republican. I highly recommend giving this book a read.

Unfortunately, DeSantis staffers on social media are urging their followers to brigade and leave 1 star reviews on this book. Most of the bad reviews come from oversensitive crybaby DeSantis supporters. Team DeSantis and their bucket crab behavior are disgusting. They are afraid of Kari Lake.

Most beloved news caster my ass! Google Top Phoenix news casters and you will see Lin Sue Cooney, Linda Alverez, Jineane Ford, Patti Kirkpatrick, Heidi Fogelsong and Mary Jo West. You will not find Kari Lakes name mentioned anywhere. In fact, while she was on Channel 10 it ranked at the bottom with Channel 5. The Rupert Murdoch Corp won't even acknowledge she has worked for them. The book gets even worse from there. If you have to read it wait until it's free on Kindle Unlimited, should be about 2 weeks.

The world needs more leaders like Kari. Nobody’s perfect, of course. I really enjoyed this book, not knowing much about her at all. Had I read it on my Kindle, I’d be able to share many of my favorite quotes, as I usually do. However, my book is a hard copy, and I can’t do all that typing.

Interesting story about Kari Lake. Democrats/Liberals won't read it but will criticize the book without even looking at the cover. Liberal nastiness will keep the reviews low. Book still interesting on Ms, Lake's life.

Pure fiction. And bad fiction at that. Just one more way for her to pander to the gullible for more money. She basically strung all her crazy, out-of-touch, delusional tweets together and made a book.

I was interested in this book because I had heard a lot about Kari Lake, from Arizona, and her run for Arizona governor.

She is a very energetic woman and had a lot of good, conservative ideas. I know she is now running for the position of Senator for her state and I wish her luck!

Good book

I like Kari Lake because she is real and authentic. She exposes the lies and the corruption of government officials and people need to listen. There are people who are very afraid of people like Kari because they know that she is telling the truth and they are afraid of being exposed.

Such a strange read. I've never heard anyone say out loud for the world to hear that they are, "The most beloved of anything"! I wonder what Fox News is saying about her when the cameras are off?
