Tyran Eagle O'Neal, better known as Bone, is finally home with family and friends. Excited to begin his new life with RP, he's also a bit excited when he meets the new dentist. Londyn Vacarro is smoking hot, sexy, smart, and definitely hiding something. She might think she has the others fooled, but Bone is calling B.S. Just when he thinks he has her convinced to tell him the truth, she's attacked and left for dead. Thanks to Parker, she's alive, but for how long?
Londyn Vacarro has never wanted anything except to be a dentist. Leaving her gang-leader father in Houston was the smartest decision she'd ever made. Interviewing at RP was the second smartest thing. Except there's one man that won't seem to let sleeping dogs lie. His persistence and insistence on her telling him everything is annoying. And dangerous. Finally making up her mind to tell him her story, she just has to tie up some loose ends. Unfortunately, those loose ends are out to kill her.
Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. I love this world Mary Kennedy has created so much that I find myself constantly checking to see if the next book is out yet. They're quick yet charming reads featuring alpha protectors and the potential partners they feel drawn to protect. She also does such a fantastic job at providing us with stress free reads even while addressing difficult subject matter. Spoiler: * * * * While some might spend pages upon pages describing a Sexual Assault she gets that it's not necessary to do that. Instead, the initial assault of the h barely receives a paragraph as it's happening on the singular half a page the SA occurs during. I was gearing up to skip a chapter once the assault began, but didn't need to. Instead, the focus remains where it should be, on the recovery of the SA character and developing storyline. This is something I cannot praise her enough for. We tend to give writers like GRRM a free pass when he constantly uses SA as a plot devise rather than questioning why they felt it was necessary to draw out the violence in infinite detail. It's refreshing to see authors who don't feel like they need to rely on drawn out tropes that can be triggering for survivors of SA to support their writing because they know true quality of their writing, how to connect with their readers, and how to trust that their readers can put 2 and 2 together without forcing them to feel so overwhelmed by a character's trauma that they relive their own and find they need to put down a book and return to it at another time.
Please keep them coming. Looking forward to the next installment and hoping we won't be saying goodbye to Irene and Mathew just yet.
I choose this rating because this is actually a pretty good book. I really enjoy pretty much all of the characters. This was a book of protection, compassion, kindness, determination, sacrifice, and putting some things behind and moving forward, and also following in love. I really enjoyed Bone and Londyn story. I think the author did an amazing job putting these characters together. He knew she was hiding something and he was right. Everything worked out in the end as it should have. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.
I'm not gonna lie, Londyn drove me nuts at the start, even as I understood why she didn't tell Bone the truth, it would have been so much better. Once her reason for wanting the job, other than it was fantastic in all normal ways, everyone at RP jumped in to make the threat go away and help her with what she went through. It was fun to see the guys and girls go against the psycho and how they bested him at every turn. I hope they killed him hard, even a fictional world is better off without him.
I've read all 57 RP stories. I've cried, cursed and laughed. But the opening chapters of Londyn and Bone's story broke my heart. The author described the beating in detail but I think it was the scene where Bone saw Londyn for the first time. But in true RP form the men and women gather them close so she could heal. Beautiful story and lets say the bad guy in this book deserved everything he got.
Mary Kennedy always gives her readers a strong storyline. Her characters are amazing. Parents are supposed to love and cherish their children but sometimes the evil in their hearts and souls prevents it. Londyn found this out and desperately wanted to be as far away from her father and his partners when she meets Bone.
Here I go again🙄 getting all caught up on Ms Kennedy's exciting, thrilling series! I read these books too fast and then I'm disappointed when I have to wait for her to release something new🤔 I just can't help myself, she is so talented and I enjoy reading her storytelling and can't wait for the next book😍
Me gusto, pero sentí que se tomó con mucha liviandad el tema de la violación. En otros libros se cuenta más el sufrimiento, la recuperación. Sentí que acá fue todo muy rápido, pero fuera de eso un hermoso libro. Gracias Mary!!!!
Great as always. Two books close together. Great can't wait for books 58 and 59. Everyone gets better and better. Please keep them coming. Great reading, can't put them down until finished
Another great story by Mary Kennedy! I loved the storyline and the continuance of the other family members. Nothing like a reaper patriots story. Great job!
These triplets apparently are finding their forever loves together, too. Just kidding, Ms. Kennedy. The new dentist at RP knocks Ty O'Neal off his feet. Like his father years before, he took one look and was knocked over by her beauty. However, she seems to be afraid of something, and Ty doesn't want to push her. This has tragic effects. It also has a negative effect on the men who are responsible for what happens to the young woman.
