I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! ❤️❤️ Maximus had spent 2 years in the brig because of a lie and a set up. His girl did him dirty and he had no one and nowhere to go. A friend of his father got him into the Sin City Las Vegas chapter of the MC. But the Oakland California chapter would become his home. That's where he meets Gia. Gia has been given protection and sanctuary by Prez King due to some horrendous things that took place. I won't elaborate as not too spoil the story. After clearing up a bad assumption both Maximus and Gia were magnetically attracted to each other. I loved how she became his Sunflower and essentially his lighthouse in the storm when he had his bad days. And he became her knight on shiny motorcycle when she needed him. This book was so amazing to read. Every page kept me engaged and anticipating what was coming next. The love that Maximus had for Gia was so powerful and so beautiful. And vice versa. I loved how a certain person got his karma. And yes, I laughed. Served him right. And I'm still not liking Chili. She's got ulterior motives. Smh. But all in all this book deserved more than 5 ⭐ imo. This season of Sin City MC Oakland chapter was amazing. And L. Loren brought the receipts with Maximus. I highly recommend this book and all of this seasons. You will not be disappointed.
L. Loren has done it again with Maximus. He was mad at the world and had been betrayed by the woman he loved so he joined the MC Sin City. There he met Gia known as Sunflower, who have had a life of abuse by her father the man who was supposed to love and protect her. Trying to survive with the protection of the MC. When they meet what they thought they didn’t want went out the window. With the people who like to throw a little salt in their way here and there, they ended up together getting their HEA! Keep up the good work L. Loren.
First off, everything by L. Loren is straight fire, so I knew this entry was about to be all that. And it was! When I read the title, I immediately thought of Russell Crowe’s character in my favorite movie 🎦 of all time, “Gladiator”. Come to find out the character’s MC nickname was inspired by the same film! What a swoony story. Strong yet feminine female lead and tough yet vulnerable male lead!
I absolutely loved this story!!! For me it was like Maximus and Gia were kindred spirits, connecting over the fact that they both suffered from post traumatic disorder. Although, he felt like they shouldn't be together, Maximus couldn't deny the chemistry between him and his Sunflower. I loved the way they helped each other deal with their illness. This was a wonderful way to wrap up the second season of The Sin City Sinners!!!
Good read. I like that Gia didn’t use bad language that was a nice touch. Maximus’ problems were so hard to read but I’m glad she gave him some peace. But what was up with Chili? She was definitely a frenemy to Gia.
I loved how Sunflower made Maximus feel sa fe and allowed him not to be shamed. Maximus made Sunflower feel safe and protected, which she needed. It was nice seeing King be King, lol.
This short but moving romance story was heart warming. I I liked both main characters and I'm sure if the story was longer we'd find out why Chili did what she did.. Nevertheless, this story is an excellent to read.
Goodness! What a thoroughly entertaining series. It's sometimes dark and vengeful, but there's romance, along with Suspense, Enlightenment and Brotherhood at the same time. I really enjoy the progression of the storylines. The characters are amazingly developed. The writing definitely make you want to read every related book in the series even if they are the ones with a cliffhanger. What I enjoy most about this series is the twists and surprisingly the turns. This is not just your typical romance, because there is a element of suspense underneath them. Throughout the entire series there’s always something that’s just beneath the surface, and with the depth of emotions the main couples have its makes each story such a page turner. I have read this series which makes me want to read new books from this author because I couldn't put my reader down even to sleep without finishing the story it's absolutely awesome!!! Wow! If you are like myself you will definitely enjoy every moment!!😍
I was mostly liking this. Maximus and his Sunflower were taking things slow and getting to know one another, and were ready to take the next step to have sex.
Then all of a sudden instead of privately enjoying each other they jump in the middle of a very public "pussy eating contest" at Maximus' patch over party.
Considering Gia's most recent sexual experiences before this was the repeated violent rapes by her stepdad and his friends, and up to this point she was off limits to the club members and couldn't stand to be touched by men, this was such an out of character move for Gia. You might argue that she's talking her sexuality back, but I'm not buying it.

Two souls that were battered and betrayed find a home with the MC Sinners. Family isn't made up blood, but by love, friendship and loyalty. Maximus and Gia were battered and betrayed but their instant attraction became their healing salvation. A wonderful love story. I'm not a fan of the friend because she is selfish and only does things to get others attention regardless of who she hurts. I'm glad Maximus saw through her from jump.
The flow at the end wasnt very good. Seemed rushed. Like her saying "he knows what i like" when it seemed like yesterday when they had sex.
It also seemed odd that she was ok with sex after being raped a few months ago. She went from terrified of men to jumping ones bones. There seemed to be no in between or hesitance when she met him.
I loved everything about this book. The characters and storyline were awesome. I would definitely recommend this book to friends and family. I gave this book 5 stars because it kept my interest and was well written.
I was completely engrossed in Maximus and Gia's story until the very end because Gia had me shaking by my head and Maximus' quick forgiveness left me a bit frustrated 🤔 but I really loved them together 🤣. You have to read it to understand I promise!
Now, Chili's actions, going in while he was asleep, definitely broke the friend code! 🙅♀️
One thing I wished for was more insight into why Bruce felt Gia owed him anything.
But, as always, when L. Loren releases a book, I know I'm in for some sizzling action and steamy love scenes. 🔥💕
Overall, a faced pace steamy read that will have you looking for your next MC for sure! 📚
I really enjoyed Maximus and Gia story. I loved the vulnerability and transparency that Maximus character displayed, that’s so hard for men of any caliber to display. Gia was the perfect light in his darkness, she was there and never showed judgement. Book gave lots of laughs and some serious intense moments. Truly enjoyed!
I really enjoyed Maximus and Gia. Maximus really touch home for me as my hubby had to deal with survivors guilt. I enjoyed their dynamic, I would have liked to have know a little bit more if Gia received what was due hers, and I would have like to see all involved pay not just her stepfather. Gia and Maximus despite having both suffered through trauma were good for each other. The characters had depth, storyline was interesting and fun.
I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A very sweet and passionate love story. I am hooked on all the MC books. This book has a few typo's spelling errors but nothing that distracts from the chemistry of the main characters.
