HOLY COW! Okay, now, if you’ve seen any of my reviews for Elles books before, you know I’m a die hard fan. Her work always grabs me by the metaphorical throat and refuses to let go. This one though?! I flew through it! I couldn’t consume it fast enough.
Maya is an absolute Queen!! Female Alpha, tall af, absolute Amazon of a woman who loves to be in control, but still wants everyone to feel like they’re on equal footing, that every single being has purpose and deserves their place?! Absolute swoon!
Peter is an absolute teddy bear, and I totally love to see it. He’s the alphas older brother, but a beta himself. Give me a soft sturdy dad bod of a man with insecurities and a heart of gold, (and a passion for knitting) any day!!
Throw these two together, and you get a dynamic that absolutely slays. She’s younger and dominates, he’s older and worships the ground she walks on….. ugh I can’t with how perfect they are!!
With all of the books in this series, we get to see the our beloved characters from the previous books, and how their lives are progressing as well. THERES SO MANY BABIES 😍 I’m in love with these novellas, and the way these characters have worked their way into my heart. In this one, we get to meet some new players, and I can not wait to see how this all plays out.
Now, here’s my rant! HOW COULD YOU END IT LIKE THAT?! I have to wait an entire month to find out what happens?! Elle, girl, this hurts! Gah!
5/5 stars, absolutely loved it. Neck and neck for my fav in the series so far…. Archer and Jude have some serious competition here for top slot in my heart lol

Such a cute story and a twist ending! This book follows Maya (Wolf River Pack) and Peter (Cypress Ridge Pack) and their beginning. Maya is working with the Alpha of the Cypress Ridge pack to make a plan to protect the omegas. But when they get to the new pack she finds something more. Peter thought he would never find a mate and would be a bachelor forever. I love the immediate sparks they have and how their love grows through the book. This book is a standalone couple but the other books are recommended to read before to get the whole story.

Another fun and spicy novella in the Cypress Ridge world. We finally meet Alpha Maya from the Wolf River who along with Alpha Mateo is trying to set up resources to protect Omegas. She and her sister make the trip with a small group to Cypress Ridge to discuss plans but the mate bond snaps in place after she and Peter, Mateo's older brother, set eyes on each other, plans detour a little. Peter is a Beta and he submits so nicely to his Alpha mate who enjoys control in all places. The two of them go through some bumps and unexpected twists but make it through.

Another Cypress ridge story, I was so happy when I received it. It tells the story of Peter and Maya. I liked the vibe between these two. A unexpected bond, another captivating, quick read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️
The cliffhanger though, aaargh! I need the next story, I have to know what happens next.

I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was the first book I’m the series I’ve read and even starting 4 books late, I didn’t have a hard time connecting to the characters or the overall story. I really enjoyed this novella. From what I understand each book is an interconnected standalone that focuses on a different couple within the same pack.
Book 5 is about Beta Peter who is the older brother of the head alpha of their pack. They have the head alpha and her omega sister coming to visit from a nearby pack to discuss protecting Omegas. The moment Alpha Maya sees Peter though, everything changes. The two are fated mates, but what does that mean for them? Maya is the head alpha if her own pack, while Peter is brother to the head of his pack. Not to mention Mayas younger sister who’s an Omega which is extremely rare now a days. Will this mating stop the initiative the packs have been working so hard for or will they all find a way to get what they want?
