I don’t know what to say about this one. As a Hindu and devotee of Kali Maa, there were things that I just couldn’t agree with and absolutely did not like. I found it repetitive & boring. I also feel like it painted Mata in a not so nice light.
Maa Kali may be the most ferocious looking goddess but there is a reason for it. She is Durga, she is Laxmi, she is Parvati etc. Maa Kali is benevolent, loving and forgiving. From the plants to insects, animals, humans etc. are all her children.
Animal sacrifice and all this is BS. Those practices are created by humans in certain parts of the world who are in the absolute wrong. Anyone who is a devotee of Maa Kali knows that in pooja (prayer), all she is happy with is a simple offering of flowers, banana and dhoop/diya (incense or oil lamp or candle) along with a pure heart and that’s it.
No, she does not want meat or any animal sacrifices. People who take it to that level should be worshipping something else, but please don’t put it on the name of Mata.

Jai Maa Kali.
