I have to say I love Booksprout for the ability to discover new authors unknown for me.
I have to say if your not into a gruesome start describing what are leading lady went through before meeting her protective bear you might want to back away.
I hope you don't back away as Ms. Robins presenting great world building, realistic characters and some awesome bears who would make great book boyfriends to die for.
Now to how I felt about the story but I have a poor memory for names so you'll just have to grab a copy to discover on your own
Our feisty leading lady has a shy persona but her friendship with out overly protective bear is bringing her out of her shell, yet she has always worked to protect people in her job a a ranger.
She met out hot alpha protective bear in a bar one night. Not sure how they connected to build a friendship but they did. Sometime during this relationship he realizes she is his met.
There are plenty of ups and downs and dangerous times.
So that sets up a great story by Ms. Robins which makes her a great storyteller in my eyes.
I encourage you to grab this story, And find out if your opinion matches my own. You may believe otherwise but I've already made mine.

Parker is a bear shifter and Nelle’s best friend. Nelle works as a park ranger and is attacked by wolves. Parker protects her, and when Nelle finally wakes from her sleep in a cave, a warm bear is with her, taking care of her and protecting her. He carried over a pot of water in his teeth and she drank. He brought back berries on a leaf for her to eat and regain strength. She curled up again the now sleeping bear and fell asleep.
She woke in her bed where Parker had apparently carried her from the cave. He had cleaned her wounds and made her comfortable while she was still passed out. He was even able to stitch up the bleeding wounds while she was unconscious. He gave her a serum to fight the werewolf poison and eventually, she was well enough to have a normal breakfast. But feeling better, the questions arose. She wanted the truth. So he told her, just about the attack and his role in saving her. He told her there was more but only if she wanted to hear it, and she did. But he still held back telling her that they were destined to be mates. When will he tell her what it all means for them and he wants her to be his? Although Nelle had hoped for a deeper relationship between them, is she ready to accept being the forever mate of a bear?
This is the 1st book in the “Rocky Mountain Shifters Series” and my first time reading a book by Rachel Robins. Parker is a wolf shifter and saves Nelle who is a park ranger after being attached. Parker and Nelle are best friends. When Nelle awakes she finds herself laying next to a bear that has been taking care of her. When Parker transforms into his sexy human form in front of Nelle she had no idea that the bear was her best friend and her fated mate. Parker had been keeping his bear to himself and finally revealed to Nelle and now his secret is out. Nelle has always wanted there to be more between the two of them and now are together.

I enjoyed the story 'Her Bear Protectorate' by Rachel Robins. It was about a woman who finds that her best friend is really a bear shifter after he comes to her rescue and she awakes to find herself in a cave with a bear looking after her. She learns of the shifter world and he explains what it means to be mates and how she is his mate. He has to convince her to overcome her reluctance about becoming a mate for life. She soon as stronger feelings for him than just mere friendship. As they face danger together they find deep love together. It was a very entertaining story.

Will Nelle want to be with a bear shifter? Will Nelle go back to her job after the attack? Will Parker convince Nelle that they belong together forever? Let's just put it out there - Parker is a bear, a big vicious, protective bear, and Nelle is a shy new ranger and his mate.
When I tell you that this is an introduction to a very interesting and enveloping book. I love the push and pull of their relationship, which is really a friendship at this stage, but Parker knows it is more just telling Nelle is cause his inner dialogue to go into overdrive. Not to mention Nelle's inner dialogue about making mistakes.
I am sooo looking forward to the culmination of this story, how the pack goes forward with finding their mates and the what or who is the ehite wolf.
When Nelle discovers that there is more to her friend Parker than she ever realized, her life changed forever. With wolves attacking and Nelle and Parker both with baggage that they need to deal with Parker is determined to protect Nelle, no matter what it costs. With intrigue and suspicion you will find yourself hoping that Nelle and Parker get their happy ever after and destroy those determined to end it.

Parker saved Nelle from a vicious wolf attack plus saved her from the venom has been protecting her since they met. Nelle thought Parker was her best friend but she had to do some thinking about the secrets he told her. She did accept it all and helped the pack with the wolf problem and continued being a park ranger. Good book!.

This is the first book from this author I have read, it wasn't to bad. There was a story there, but I felt like the reader was being told the same thing multiple times. As a reader I struggle with that as it makes me stumble in my reading, but that's me. The characters were engaging, the romance was tame.

And another fantastic shifter story starring Parker who is a bear changer and saves Nelle from a wolf attack one day. Unaware that Parker is a bear changer, Nelle learns the truth when she wakes up next to him and he forms back into human form. There is tension, action, drama and many steamy moments between them. I enjoyed their story.

This book was just ok. Neither character was very interesting. Nelle was childish and not very wise in her decisions. Parker was so worried about everything he did around Nelle. The concept of the story was good. Overall it was a good short read. Did it hold my attention? No. But it did have a good flow and the last couple chapters were the best in the whole book.

A bit confusing start to this book, as it begins already in action. The characters were well developed, though the connection with the characters seemed a bit stilted at times. Liked how the backstory was given on the main characters as it gave more to the reason of actions being taken.

this was a strong sequel in the Rocky Mountain Shifters series, it had everything that I was hoping for and it does what I enjoyed from the previous book. The characters were well written and I'm glad I read this.

First time reading anything from this author and overall it was OK. A bit of a difference in the wolf shifters which was interesting. The story wasn't hot and heavy or even as alpha like as you normally get from shifters but it wasn't boring either.

This was. Fun story t read. The characters were interesting. I wish it would have been longer, but it was still a very nice story. If you are looking for a quick read with a lovely HEA this is it.
"Her Bear Protectorate: Rocky Mountain Shifters" was a very enjoyable story. I loved how Parker was so protective of Nelle. The fights btn the wolves and the bears. Loved the ending.
He meet her in a bar and they became friends and help each other out. She was very shy, but she felt like she could talk to him and they became fast friends.
This is a wonderful book. It was very well written. It is one of the few books I have come across that allows you to be there fully in the moment. The story is well told , it doesn't jump around like so many . Parker was very easy to attach to. We should all be so lucky to stumble across a Parker.
