Burned. Destroyed. Dead.
Everything was gone.
I'd found a home here. I'd finally found a place where I belonged.
And they'd stolen that from me.
Odin may think he was winning, but he couldn't be more wrong.
Because he'd made a mistake.
He'd left me alive, and I was going to make him pay.
Revenge would be mine. And once I was finished, the only blood running through the streets of Asgard would belong to the gods.

I’m a British author who writes paranormal reverse harem romance books.

I couldn’t survive with tea and potentially swear far too much for any kind of polite society. So I spend most of my days shut inside the writing cave and talking to all the voices in my head. Being a writer has given me the ideal excuse to fully embrace the crazy side of my personality, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Solid ending to the series. Probably my least liked pairings but I really liked how all the past characters were in the final book and how the story wrapped up.

The End

I enjoyed the plot coming together and everyone joining together for the last battle. I will say that I think there were still loose ends. For example, what happened with the wolf pack that Kyle was worried about? I think the Alpha's name was Travis or something. They were supposed to be trouble and were being watched, but they just vanished from the story. What happened to Frannie's sister? She went away and disappeared from the story. What about, was it Trent? And his group. They go to Asgard, but what happened to them? Did they find their mate?

My biggest pet peeve in this series is that pretty much each mate group had a book dedicated to them. You did get some follow up on the different harems throughout the series. But, I felt like there were so many harems to keep track of that I couldn't keep them all straight. I would forget who could do what and who was mated to what supernatural. It irritated me. I did appreciate the epilogues. You know what is awful though? I forgot all about Lyra and her mates and didn't even consider why they weren't in the final battle. I remembered that she was pregnant, but I basically forgot about them all until the epilogue. I didn't get why they went to the human world. That's just weird. And Lyra feeling like it's home when she can't go outside due to her wings? That's weird.

Overall, the series was good. It held my interest. It's worth reading even though it gets a bit drawn out and confusing.

Ravens

Revenge is book six in the series Destiny by author CJ Cooke.
So this is just for my peace of mind. I’ve read many, many books and I can truly say that they are my great love - along with my children of course. Kids a close second- lol. I also love the idea of series, you can get lost in a great storyline that keeps going. And I’m in awe of BookTok- here I’ve found my peeps and new authors.
Now that’s all said and done, let me start this review be saying I’ve had a couple of conversations with my mom & son. I needed an outlet for what these books have me feeling. So I explained to them I’m either going to get through this last book with my sanity in check or I’m going completely insane. Why?? You ask. This author writes these books like there’s nothing else. You’re in your feelings the entire time- talk about emotional damage. There’s all these highs and then the author trips you and you fall. It’s not pretty. You go from a hormonal madwoman to an emotional wreck(which is probably the same damn thing). My heart - heck my soul almost didn’t make it out whole. And get this - I’ve read all five previous books and now I’m on book six and I’m only on page 65!!!! I know I have to stop ranting soon- I mean I need to finish this book- and yes it’s a need. I’ve tried to distract myself but it’s too late for me.
Ok on a lighter note I’ve finished the book and I made it out with my sanity- I think.
Anywho, this is an absolutely wondrous read the characters entwine themselves with your imagination- it’s hard to imagine anything better or different. So this is all sunshine and rainbows- there’s a lot and I mean a lot of heartache. But there’s also so much courage and hope. If anyone would ask if I’d recommend this book I would say yes in a heartbeat- only I’d give caution because nothing will ever be the same once you enter their would.
Now that the series has ended the last page is read, I feel melancholy for these characters who have become so dominant in my recent life, are going to be put on a shelf until next time. There might be a bit of hope for us mere mortals- the author’s note suggests that there’s always hope for more. And if not then whatever this author writes will be enough.
Enjoy!!

Wonderful!

I really enjoyed reading this series, it was wonderful. Interesting characters throughout all the books and an intriguing storyline that kept me coming back for more. This particular book, I believe, did this series justice by tying up all the loose ends by answering all our questions of how this showdown was accomplished and by bringing all our main characters together and letting us know what happened to them afterwards. Well done! Definitely a must read!

LOVE

I absolutely loved loved loved loved this series! I wished it didn’t come to end because I want more and loved the characters especially Xanith!! Can I have one of him….. lol. I love how you have girl power but still bring the boys in. However, you show that girls can be bad as well and stand up and be strong but it’s ok to be weak as well. I loved all the twist and turns and all the laughs and crying!!

Great Book

This book was a fantastic conclusion to the whole series, tying up loose ends and bringing the characters together for the final battle. I really enjoyed the story, I think this may be one of my favourite books of the series and the humour in it had me laughing at many points. I also really love the characters in this book. Overall, a good read and a fantastic conclusion to the series. I would definitely recommend not only this book but the whole series.

Loved this series

I absolutely love this series filled with such strong women. I usually don't like a series with multiple main characters but with the first 3 books setting everything the next three really flowed with it. Loved the banter between characters laughed so hard and yes cried on the sad parts!! My kids just rolled their eyes at me lol definitely recommend

Beautiful series

A series full of magic and war, evil, greed and ugliness and the heroes who grow to fix it all. Loved the characters and their development. The storyline through each book in the series was well developed and exciting to read. Tense moments, laughter, tears, all are present. Really enjoyed this series!

Again, same old same old. The ending was not as satisfying as it could have been since Odin, as a villain, was not super developed beyond "going mad" and everything always just worked out for Britt and the other girls (except Lyra, who's been fridged for the past two books). I guess this author has just found a narrative formula that works for her.

This was a great end to the series, and I loved reading about Britt's story. I liked that each fmc's mates had a slightly different relationship with one another - with some being close already, some being lovers, and other relationship dynamics - it really helped make each group of mates distinct. I look forward to exploring CJ Cooke's other books

Wow, what a finale 👏

This book perfectly wraps up what has been an epic series. I have laughed, cried and raged with this series. The heartbreak and devastation of war was perfectly depicted. The struggle of emotions at ending a life uselessly. The sad joy of small wins and the bonding of strangers with a shared goal. A beautiful story.

I liked it but part of my rating is due to the whole series. As for rating this book alone, my rating would have been lower. I liked the story and the characters but it’s not quite as good as the other books.

So much to love

The final battle. Lives lost lead to revenge against the most powerful God. Destiny grabs hold of the one person who can end it all. With the help of her mates, friends, and those that have survived. Good awaits and a new beginning.

Very good

I enjoyed the series very much. The only real problem I had was the gods. The whole idea revolted me. Let's face it they were only beings with too much power. The characters were many and interesting

❤️‍🔥🤌
I don't know how to get over this series, or if I even want to. If the author writes a book for every elite, I am here for it. If you like war, warrior FMC, fae, wolves, mages, witches, angels, and gods, then this series is for you. I promise there isn't a dull moment in this series.
