No monsters too big, no monsters too small for the Heroes of Bannock!
In a secret world filled with magick, Wildwood Blackstone has encountered unbelievable mysteries. As the blacksmith in her new hometown, she's survived and endured the call to wield the hammer of the goddess Brigid, but to what end? Celebrating a year with her girlfriend, Shay, the two continue their search for answers. What lived inside Andrea Peters? How did the entity survive for hundreds of years? Who controlled her all this time?
Their call to be The Magick and Maker of Bannock comes with more questions than ever, but it might also come with answers to their past. Wildwood and Shay are drawn into endless realms, all of which lead to the Legacy of the Maker. In book four of the Maker Series, Wildwood and Shay find what they’ve been seeking—and raise questions they’ll need to answer if they’re ever to learn the truth about Bannock, their role as its guardians.

The story starts off slowly, very slowly and uneventful for the first half of the book. I almost did not finish it. I am happy I persisted in finishing the novel. The last half of the story is all action, adventure and waring with evil. It was most enjoyable.
The fantasy realms and creatures are very well designed and described to be easily envisioned. The core of the Magick and the Maker is equivalent to a fairytale. A European style of fairytale filled with death and darkness yet ends in a happy ever after.
This is the fourth and final book in the Maker series. The books should be read in order for the best continuity. I have only read this book in the series and found that I could follow the plot easily as the author wrote an excellent recap into this book.
In order to score this novel I am giving the first half 1 star and the last half 4 stars. The average would be 2.5. I will round it up to 3 due to a dragon hound being in the series.
