• The brightest and best places to drink, dance, cruise, hang out and enjoy in the city for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies If it’s queer, it’s culturally and historically, London is one of the premier cities in the world for LGBTQ+ life. With SO much on offer, it can be hard to know where to go. This is where we come in. Featuring everything from riotous club nights and funky cabaret to drag brunches, film festivals, and art and cultural tours exploring the rich history of queer trailblazers, this handy guide sorts the fierce and fresh from the tired and tame.
Enjoyed this travel guide focusing on LGBTQ spaces in London. This provides a bit of history and context, which is helpful in deciphering what venues and events folks might want to check out. I’m hoping to check out some of this on my current trip and will plan to give this another flip when I return to London. One word of cation though — check the venues in the book before you just show up there. Per Google, appears at least two of them are “permanently closed” as of July 2024 and this book came out in 2023.
Exactly what it states on the cover and although not really aimed at my generation (50+) I had been to at least a third of the recommendations and found ten new venues to try.
