This was one of the best reading binges I have experienced in a while!
There’s not a single book in this series that deserves less than 5 stars except maybe Deceptive (book 6), which is a solid 4.5 stars. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because I honestly could not get behind Billie. Read the story to find out why :)
I was going to individualize my review per book, but I’d be repeating myself at every turn, so instead, I’m going to do one review for the series in its entirety.
There’s quite a bit of real-life circumstances happening in every book and almost all of them have zero rainbows. I give the author mad props for respectfully representing said life circumstances and making sure they were written accurately. Again, not a lot of rainbows and gumdrops. You’ve been warned!
The Houston Defiance MC is a brotherhood and sisterhood that stands strong. They are friends and they are family. Their trust in each other (okay maybe not Billie lol) is unwavering. Every story is powerful and full of action and drama. There’s no shortage of action and drama on these pages so pay attention. Each of these stories builds on its predecessor so they need to be read from the beginning. You cannot just come into this series at any point. You’ll be a little lost on the ARC of the MC and you’d have missed out on some exceptional world building.
Each of these stories is exceptionally developed and unfolded. KE is very good with character chemistry and growth. She doesn’t just leave couples in the background as she writes them and moves on, they continue to grow in her future stories and the MC continues to grow as well. That’s why you must start at the beginning :) There are plot points that are unexpected and even the ones that were expected are exciting. She has a way of unfolding a story that keeps the reader engaged. She’s an author that anyone who enjoys this genre should be reading! I found this entire series to be very suspenseful and unpredictable and captivating. They’re not just entertaining at the moment. They stay with you.
There are a few points about individual books I’d like to mention. One was Billie, which I already kinda did, and the next is about Secretive (book 7). If you notice, it’s the only one co-written with Addison Jane. KE has co-written with this author in the past (that’s how I tumbled into her world) and they came together in this story because our FMC, Thayleah, comes to us from Addison's Club Girl Diaries series. I mention this because if Addison Jane wasn’t on your radar yet, she should be! Do with that bit of information what you will! :) Lastly, Survive (book 8), was superbly planned, incredibly fast-paced and the most unpredictable 300 pages I’ve read in quite some time! This book marks the conclusion of the Houston Defiance MC series and it’s told in multiple POVs that shine a bright light on KE’s talent as a writer. The characters and MC’s growth from the time this series started until the end is so very well represented in this last leg of the series that I am giddy from it even now as I write this! Well done KE!

Highly Recommended MC Series
This is one of those MC romance series that were all five star reads. Each and every book brings everything to the table with the hot alpha biker and the woman he falls for, along with steam, suspense and plenty of goings on in the MC world. This has been one of my favorite MC series and you are lucky enough to get the books one after the other. If you are like me, once you start, you won’t be able to put them down. I can’t recommend highly enough.

This series was thrilling, suspenseful and sizzling hot! Wow! These men are dangerous when they have to be…but all so protective and loving when they want to be! This author knows how to write a motorcycle series. I have read a few of this author series and boy oh boy am I addicted. I reviewed each book individually and look forward to seeing or reading what is to come!

Zero is the President of the Houston Defiance Motorcycle Club. He has big shoes to fill, a family and his club to protect. He understands his responsibilities and more. Rayne has been to hell and back and has the bruises and scars to prove it. Her husband is a mental and physical abuser and Rayne feels stuck. Until Zero and his sister come to her rescue. Zero is drawn to Rayne but has mixed feelings about her situation. This was a great read with a lot going on. All the characters are strong and have powerful stories to tell. I looking forward to getting to know the other club members better.

Wraith is the Vice President of the Houston Defiance Motorcycle Club. He can’t keep his mind off of Prinie…he knows he shouldn’t be with her but he is drawn to her. Not only is he 8 years older than Prinie but she happens to be the sister of the MC President. Prinie knows Wraith has emotional baggage due to his childhood but she wants to help him get past it so they can finally have a chance at making this work. This was another emotional read in this series. The MC is still dealing with the target on their back and need to clear their name…the best they can. I am really enjoying this quick paced series. Each book has a lot going on and I’m really enjoying getting to know the characters better. I’m already looking forward to reading the next book.

Kevlar has loss a lot and has changed a lot. He is a former police officer who is now a devoted member of a motorcycle club. He loss the love of his life and his brother is raising his children even though Kevlar loves them more than anything….But life is all about choices. Jovie wants to be a lawyer more than anything. Her reasoning might not be normal but she knows what she wants. Jovie has a pretty dysfunctional relationship with her father and her brothers so she stays away as much as possible. When her life is in danger and a stranger sweeps in and saves her…she has no idea how it’s going to change her life. This was another great read in this series. The characters are bold and have great personalities. The story was sweet but emotional. I am ready for the next book.

Neon is the a devoted member of the Defiance motorcycle club. He is the clubs tech guy and wouldn’t have it any other way. The biggest problem he has right now is his sister. Saying that she is a hot mess is a major understatement. She is extremely unstable and causes more trouble than she is worth….how much longer can Neon bail her out?!?
Oakley’s likes to race fast and win races. Unfortunately she has gotten herself into trouble with a rival club. Neon doesn’t hesitate to protect her. He will protect her at all costs. Just when we thought things might be calming down at the club, we were wrong. All heck was breaking loose from places we were not expecting. These two have great banter and a fun connection. The club members and their families add so much to this story and the series. Each book brings in more characters and an extra layer of danger. Bring on the next book.

Finley is a lawyer and one of her biggest clients is the Defiance motorcycle club. She has other clients but the MC takes up a lot of her time. Now she is being threatened and she knows running straight to them is a smart move. Texas loves his club and the brotherhood. He wishes he could just forget his messed up childhood. When his hears the club attorney is in trouble he volunteers to be her protection. They both know there are feelings there…but can a relationship between a 1% biker and an attorney really work? If so how? This was a great read with more action and page turning suspense. When are the Defiance brothers and their families going to be safe? I swear as one threat is taken care of 4 more issues pop up. I love the support they give each other and the banter is always entertaining. I’m ready for the next book!

Phantom is a newer full member in the motorcycle club that he loves. He wants to be part of this brotherhood more than anything. Billie’s life hasn’t been easy. Being the sister of Rage, can’t be easy. Rage wants revenge on Defiance and will even use Billy to do it. Billy was histant at first…but boy did that change when she got closer to Phantom and the girls. She didn’t want to ruin their trust. This series gets more and more complicated as the enemies are finding ways in. These two had great chemistry and told a great story. This series is extremely enjoyable and I’m ready for the next book.

We met Koda as a young man dealing with his parents death in book one. Now he is an adult going to college and living his life. In college Koda meets his friend Brady and falls hard for a girl named Thaylea. While there Koda unravels several secrets he wasn’t expecting. How will he handle them? How is his new friend involved? How will all these new thing’s affect his relationship with Thaylea? This was another great read in this addictive page turning of a series. Each book has its own adventure and add on to what has already happened. Koda’s story was exactly what we needed it to be and more. I’m ready for the next book in this series.

This is the conclusion to the series and what a conclusion it was! The Defiance was able to get the answers they needed and the resolution they deserved. This was a suspenseful page turner that I really enjoyed. Almost every character got their say and the ending they deserved. Was it the ending they wanted…probably not but it definitely made for a great read. This was a very enjoyable series. Each character …and boy were there a bunch! Each character brought a lot to the table! It was emotional, entertaining and sometimes scandalous but I truly loved every character.

I absolutely LOVE the Houston Defiance MC series, and those who haven't read it yet, you got super lucky since this amazing & very addictive author put all of the books in a box set.
Explosive (Book 1)
Zero's parents, Frenzy (Pres), and Moonshine were murdered by the Bayou Militia in one fell swoop. However, directly in the aftermath, his younger sister Prinie takes off with his younger brother Koda, and they land in Chicago. Prinie comes across Rayne, an abused wife of an evil man who wore blue to boot, and they became friends. Prinie ends up turning to the Chicago Defiance after struggling for a year, which is when Zero goes to collect them finally. She wants to say goodbye to her friend, Rayne, and Zero goes with her, and the moment he sees Rayne, he decides she is going to Houston with them. This is only the beginning of the story as there's so much more going on.
Addictive (Book 2)
Addictive is a fantastic story but not an easy journey to take alongside Prinie & Wraith. He's her brother's (who is the President of the Houston Defiance MC) best friend while she's his best friend's sister. I mean what could go wrong?! Well that's just a little tease of the big picture because she's young & a tad immature at times, while he walks hand in hand with some pretty strong demons, so her brother/his best friend doesn't want them together at all. However, the heart wants what the heart wants, but the mind is tricky LOL!
Fugitive (Book 3)
Fugitive starts out on a very emotional note, then as I'm trying to get my eye leakage under control, it fast forwards to 3 years later. Kevlar started out as a cop until he met his person who just so happened to be a MC princess so he left law enforcement to become a member of the Houston Defiance MC, but their story was cut short. He meets Jovie 3 years after losing his wife when he has to get out of town for a bit, and they connect but nothing happens at warp speed because he had to come to grips with the guilt. Jovie has her own set of problems as she's on the lam but luckily Kevlar decides that he'll keep her safe so he takes her back with him when he can go home again.
Impulsive (Book 4)
Neon came across a woman named Oakley who races motorcycles, and he never stopped thinking about her. Luckily, fate steps in so they come face to face again at another race, and this time she's in some hot water which gets her taken to The Houston Defiance MC for protection. She & our resident tech genius (Neon) have a serious connection but there are a lot of parts moving around to make it more complicated.
Protective (Book 5)
Texas has had a thing for the MC lawyer, Finley, and there's no doubt that she felt a connection to him as well. She's a prominent lawyer though, so she would never entertain the notion of a relationship with a biker which, you know, made sense but was no less frustrating. However, one of her past cases went sideways when the brutal criminal got out, and now she needs the club's help because she's in a great deal of danger. Texas ends up staying with her until things turn the heat up even more with attempted murder so she ends up at the clubhouse. As she's staying there, finally, the chemistry they have is igniting to serious flames consuming them, but Texas has a few issues himself after his childhood, plus the club has more than one enemy gunning for them at the same time so things get crazy intense which had me on the edge of my seat dropping f-bomb after f-bomb while trying to catch my breath.
Deceptive (Book 6)
Poor Billie, her life is not her own, nope, her evil brother owns her if she wants to keep living, and it's because of that fact, she ends up at the Houston Defiance MC for him. Let me make it clear, she's pretty sick about it all, especially after she gets to know everyone, and sees life can be good at an MC. Phantom is very taken with her, and the sparks are flying. She's doing her best to keep him at arm's length because of her brother, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and they definitely lit the sheets on fire. I was on the edge of my seat cover to cover waiting for the other shoe to drop, and man it was nerve wracking like you wouldn't believe since the twists were coming in hot!
Secretive (Book 7)
I absolutely LOVED getting Koda's story, but it sure as hell didn't go in the direction I thought it may LOL! He's the youngest sibling, and has been in the middle between his older brother & sister after their parents were killed in front of them. Now they see him as weak, and frankly, I could see where he was coming from to be honest. He goes off to college where he meets his person, Thayleah. I know his siblings were trying to keep him safe, but man did they do the opposite LOL! Now he & Thayleah are in some serious danger, and he doesn't feel like he could go to his brother since he wanted to show them he wasn't weak.
Survive (Book 8)
Survive is the explosive conclusion to this epic Houston Defiance MC series, and it came out of the gate at a dead run, and never slowed down for even a second. I know the moment I got it in my greedy little hands, I dropped everything to devour it in short order because I had a ton of questions that were finally going to get answered from all the twists coming in hot at new levels. I'm also so grateful that it didn't take an eternity to come out after the last cliffhanger ending because I was truly dying inside.
There's so much fantastic goodness in this series that everyone needs it in their lives for real. Oh, but good luck getting anything done once you start it because it will hold all your attention hostage until you devour every last page! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

As she's staying there, finally, the chemistry they have is igniting to serious flames consuming them, but Texas has a few issues himself after his childhood, plus the club has more than one enemy gunning for them at the same time so things get crazy intense which had me on the edge of my seat dropping f-bomb after f-bomb while trying to catch my breath.

Poor Billie, her life is not her own, nope, her evil brother owns her if she wants to keep living, and it's because of that fact, she ends up at the Houston Defiance MC for him. Let me make it clear, she's pretty sick about it all, especially after she gets to know everyone, and sees life can be good at an MC. Phantom is very taken with her, and the sparks are flying. She's doing her best to keep him at arm's length because of her brother, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and they definitely lit the sheets on fire. I was on the edge of my seat cover to cover waiting for the other shoe to drop, and man it was nerve wracking like you wouldn't believe since the twists were coming in hot!
Secretive (Book 7)
I absolutely LOVED getting Koda's story, but it sure as hell didn't go in the direction I thought it may LOL! He's the youngest sibling, and has been in the middle between his older brother & sister after their parents were killed in front of them. Now they see him as weak, and frankly, I could see where he was coming from to be honest. He goes off to college where he meets his person, Thayleah. I know his siblings were trying to keep him safe, but man did they do the opposite LOL! Now he & Thayleah are in some serious danger, and he doesn't feel like he could go to his brother since he wanted to show them he wasn't weak.
Survive (Book 8)
Survive is the explosive conclusion to this epic Houston Defiance MC series, and it came out of the gate at a dead run, and never slowed down for even a second. I know the moment I got it in my greedy little hands, I dropped everything to devour it in short order because I had a ton of questions that were finally going to get answered from all the twists coming in hot at new levels. I'm also so grateful that it didn't take an eternity to come out after the last cliffhanger ending because I was truly dying inside.
There's so much fantastic goodness in this series that everyone needs it in their lives for real. Oh, but good luck getting anything done once you start it because it will hold all your attention hostage until you devour every last page! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

K.E. Osborn brought us an amazing action-filled MC series with her Houston Defiance MC. It grabs your attention from Book 1 and keeps it until the end. I had to give it a 5-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. This series had something for everyone to enjoy. We see characters we've met in the Chicago Defiance MC and ones to come in the NOLA Defiance MC. Each book kept you wanting more and feeling all the emotions of the characters. Tough decisions are made and war is upon them. They truly live up to their name but sometimes maybe they shouldn't. I loved this series from the start and hated when it ended. There's always club drama happening, family drama, and enemy after enemy showing up wanting a piece of them. Love connections are made and so are mistakes.
Book 1:Explosive:
This book was explosive!! We meet Zero and his girl Cherry. Zero is the President of the MC and Cherry is an abused housewife his sister Prinie befriended in Chicago. Zero takes her into the club to try and heal and keep her safe while falling in love with her.
Book 2:Addictive:
In this book, we get to know Prinie and Wraith the club's VP. They both know Zero would be against them being together and they do try to fight it. These two have a roller coaster relationship before finally taking the plunge. Of course, a little danger never hurt to help push 2 people close together.
Book 3: Fugitive:
In this book, we get to know ex-cop turned outlaw biker Kevlar and the lengths he'll go to protect his family and especially his kids. We also meet Jovie the person to heal his heart. Both are on the run and cross paths in NOLA. Finally, Kevlar can heal from losing his wife years before.
Book 4:Impulsive:
In this book, we get Neon the club's tech guy, and Oakley a motorcycle drag racer. I really liked this book. Oakley is in trouble with a rival gang and Neon pledges to protect her. We also get to meet Neon's sister who's Zero's ex. Can you say drama??
Book 5:Protective:
This book is about Texas and Finlay. We've seen them throughout the books before but now it's their story. They get closer while Texas is protecting Finlay from someone that's after her.
Book 6: Deceptive:
We get the newest patched member Phantom with this one. He had a thing for Prinie before she and Wraith got together officially and it hurt him because he was falling in love with her. When he meets Billie he instantly knows the one he's supposed to be with. And an old enemy is back to hurt the club at the same time.
Book 7:Secretive:
This book is about Koda and Thayleah. Their story starts in The Elite Anthology and continues in this one. They both attended a college with a secret society. The society wanted Koda in it and Thayleah to be a victim but Koda wasn't letting that happen so he handled it and brought Thayleah home. Thayleah is a club princess from an allied club. While Koda is trying to adjust to prospecting theirs a target on Thayleah's back. Koda will do anything to make sure she doesn't have to suffer again in her life.
Book 8:Survive:
This book is about survival. The club has started a war and now it's upon them. Mistakes were made. Members were lost. And times have to change. This story was a good way to end the series. We got to see the war start with book 1 and continue through until this one. Hopefully, the club can survive past this and be stronger as a family.

K L Osborn’s Explosive is as the meaning suggests - It's Dangerous and Violent as all great 1% MC romances should be! it could be potentially hazardous to your eyes (once started you won’t want to put it down). And most importantly, the relationship between Zero and Rayne is just as dangerous.

Addictive is just that Addictive, K E Osborn with the 2nd outing of The Houston Defiance MC has drawn me further into the lives and loves of this ruthless but loyal family. An emotional story of a couple's destiny to be together, but the past keeping them apart!
BOOK 3
K E Osborn is the Queen of emotional heart-wrenching MC romances, you have only had to have read the first two books in The Houston Defiance MC series to know that, so I thought I was prepared for Fugitive, but I was wrong……From the prologue I was hooked - big bad biker Kevlar had my heart in the palm of his hand, and he didn’t let go even after I turned the last page! He is not only worthy of the title Swoon Worthy Biker, and if you love a biker dad then you will double swoon over Kevlar.
BOOK 4
Impulsive lives up to its name, it is reckless, emotional, spontaneous, wild, daring, and inhibited. I absorbed every minute of it, I am loving The Houston Defiance MC, each book has such different storylines, but they still are intertwined so well with the ongoing everyday battles the MC face, of fighting to keep the club from being destroyed by outside forces.
BOOK 5
Texas and Finn's story was always going to be explosive, it has been simmering in the background for four books and K.E. Osborn likes to tease, and this has been one hell of a teaser. Texas, the MC Protector, and Finm, the MC's lawyer have been at logger's heads forever, but K. E. Osborn has given me enough little carrots over time that you knew there was something more coming and like a volcano, their relationship is about to explode, but so is the danger to the club.
BOOK 6
Once again K. E. Osborn produces a book in the Houston Defiance series that will knock your socks off, you will be sent down many paths and have many conflicting emotions as you read Billie and Phantom's story because you what know Deceptive to mean and the people that do are not normally to be trusted sometimes things happen that are out of your control and you end up doing what you have to do to survive.

Secretive
I wasn't sure how Koda's story was going to play out, this young man, the brother of both the president of the MC and a forceful sister married to a Houston Defiance biker, they have always tried to keep Koda away from the violence of the club, but Koda knows it is in his blood to follow in his father and brothers footsteps,

Survive
The End, and what an end to the most all-consuming series ever, the stories, the couples, the intrigue, the suspense the love these men have for their women are just breathtaking, and not to give anything away, Survive ties up the loose ends, as the battle comes to a glorious end with a glorious wedding!

There's nothing worse than reading a book and at the end all you want is next book in the series, but the release is months/years away. Having all the books in the series as a box set is perfect and yes I binge read it. The links between each book were really good and the underlying story developed in ways you wont expect. Having said that, yes it is better to read the series in order however each book could be read stand alone, but you will miss some of the links between the books and understanding of the background story.
This box set has it all, swoon worthy bikers, strong women, off the charts chemistry, some mystery mixed with a thriller and enemies who you will love to hate. Between the hot, steamy and pantie melting scenes, there's lies, secrets and deception which conspire to break up the MCC and the women who have come to be a part of these bikers lifes. Through all the battles they go through, getting to know these protective bikers and the women who bring them to thier knees, is one huge rollercoaster ride and will make you laugh and cry, scream and shout, but at the end of the day these tough, protective, sexy bikers are just teddy bears for the women they love.

I've only read one book from this author and I knew that it was not going to be enough.
When the opportunity appeared for me to read this Boxset I was on cloud nine.
Not only it's an MC series but also from an author I do enjoy.

Each book tells a story but they are all connected.
The Houston Defiance MC is a club that takes care of their families at all costs.
When danger lurks around the corner...

Where do I even begin… This entire set was freaking amazing and I binged it from a Friday to a Sunday because I couldn’t put it down. The ups and downs the love and loss I felt throughout the entire book had my emotions all over the freaking please. I love that each couples story ends with their book but the overall theme and plot run through the entire series tying everything together nicely. The couples all have amazing chemistry and their road to their HEA is never easy. I found myself crying on more than one occasion. I love how raw and real the characters feel to me and their emotions bleed through the pages as you read. This series is not for the faint to say the least it is a true MC book and this author did not leave out anything. An amazing series and read and I love the boxset.

What an action packed series!!! While there was a running plotline throughout the series, each couple also brought their own issues with them as well. With loads of chemistry, violence, danger, some awe moments, and a few times a reader might shed a tear or two; this series is definitely not for the faint of heart and one of the more nitty gritty style MC series out there. As with all series, there is a favorite while there is also a story or two that were just ok for me, but as a whole I don't regret my time spent in the world that the author created and give the series 4 stars.

First off, I hate cliffhangers, so I was very excited to read this boxset knowing I wouldn't have to deal with cliffhangers. MC romance? Sign me up! This boxset OMG was so good! Suspenseful and spicy! Houston Defiance is a motorcycle club, each book tells the story of the different motorcycle club members. I love a good romantic suspense book and K.E. Osborn did not disappoint. Plus, the spice, these books were spicy. This is one of my favorite MC series. Once I started, I couldn't put them down, but I want more, I was sad to read the last book because I didn't want the series to end. Everything I have read by K.E. Osborn has been 5 stars!

This was a new to me author and boy am I glad I took a chance and read this series. OMG what wonderful characters were in the MC. Each story dealt with a new threat to the club and many times the characters had some real life serious issue they were trying to overcome. I felt like the author took such care with the issues that were in these books, but kept them true and didn't gloss over things to make it easier. I devoured these 8 books and can't wait to start looking into the author's backlist and I love her writing style and the characters she creates.

This is a MC Dark Romantic Suspense, and this is the Complete Series. I do think this series is one that needs to be read in order and back to back because so much in one book flows into the next book. The first book started off slow, and I did not think I would stay with this series. It did pull me into the story, and I could not put it down. I fell in love with all the characters and this MC Clubhouse. There were some books I liked more than others, but I overall loved these books. These books had dark stuff, steamy parts, and a great storyline.

I love the Houston Defiance MC! This box set is absolutely amazing and you will fall in love with them men and women of this chapter. Each book is action pack, steamy, and will leave you on the edge of your seat. You'll laugh, cry, curse like sailor, and cheer for each one another of these couples. They are a family and you become apart of it with each book.

The Houston Defiance MC Boxset is the complete series of the Houston Defiance MC Series. This great box set is the total book 1-8. This was a great series so I was excited to see that they made a box set of it. This is a great way to try an new author or like me to have the set because you enjoy this author's writing. Loved it.

I loved reading and following each couple as they find their HEA. As the first series I have read from this author, I will definitely going back to read more of her series.

Defiance!
I honestly read the Defiance series out of order...staring with NOLA, but dang, I love this MC! Everyone from Hurricane who drew me in to Defiance to Six who kept me coming back to learn more about what these 1%ers were all about! I can't wait to learn about all the chapters that have popped up along the way!

Loved all these books in one place, I can read for hours and hours. Each read sucked me into the storyline and it was hard to put it down. You will fall in love with each character, with the violence and with the hot scenes. If you love MC reads this one is definitely for you!

Every single one of these stories was great! I loved the drama, suspense, action, angst, push/pull, and all of the storylines. This boxset has been one of my favorites and if you're looking to have a wonderful time reading, this is the set for you.

I absolutely loved all of these books. I am a huge fan of MC romances and am usually really picky about which ones I read. I did not find a single one of these that I did not enjoy reading. I loved reading about each character and flew through all the books.

This boxset you will get to know all the guys from the Houston Defiance MC. You will watch each guys fall for their woman. Some are better than other but each has the own twists and turns. This series is one of the best I have read

I enjoyed reading about the men and their old ladies in this box set. Their journeys are hard

So happy for this boxset. If you had to choose where and how to spend time reading, I'd say stop right here because this is it!
It has absolutely everything in one place, well developed, written with suspense, heat, love, relationships and core values, all portrayed in real life situations!

The Houston Defiance is such a fantastic series! I enjoyed each member who finds their other half. The road is as bumpy as it can get for Houston Defiance but they make it by the seat of their pants. There is a lot going on in each story that you will not be disappointed or stop reading.
