** 3.5 Stars ** Cameron Pendle, CEO of his company, CJP Talent, accompanied by Lana Nicholson, had attended a work conference. As was his style, the two of them networked for long, grueling hours. Lana was exhausted and ready to relax with a delicious dinner and maybe see some of Vegas, a concept alien to Cam. Cam instead wanted room service and a return to the conference! So Lana quit! Once the initial shock wore off, he offered a goodbye token of a true celebration on the town. But maybe they went a bit too far… They woke up married and not sure how it happened. Their secret didn’t stay quiet since Cam spread the news. The reaction was epic, so he figured he could not agree to an annulment because it would be bad for business. Would she agree to move in with him for a short time? Would they recognize that beneath the irritation, they really cared for each other?
These two are absolutely not self-aware in the least! I can’t imagine their behavior as a prelude to love. She should have left him back in Vegas. The story was well-written, but I didn’t particularly like the characters and, as a love story, it fell flat for me. I have read many of this author’s books and they are terrific, so I suggest you may enjoy it despite my own reaction.
Cam has been a very demanding boss, expecting everyone to live up to his own workaholic standards, and Lana never got along with him well. On a work trip to Las Vegas, Lana resigns, but in the morning she finds herself in his bed. She does not remember what happened but it turns out they got married. She is stunned but several other people seem to think that the arguments she and Cam got into were evidence of a suppressed attraction.
There's something about the Vegas wedding trope that I love, the way something that seems to be a huge mistake turns out to be the best thing in their lives. But it was a little difficult to believe in happy endings for these characters because both of them have spectacular difficulties recognizing their own feelings. When they're not being snippy they avoid communication and the way Cam froze her out straight after an intimate encounter made me feel that love probably wouldn't be able to cure them, they also needed some therapy.

Lana has a very volatile relationship with her boss Cam, and she is frequently found shouting at him. If she wasn't so highly thought of in the business then Cam wouldn't put up with her.
So when they are thrown together at a conference neither are extremely happy but try to make the best of their situation, until their disagreement leads to her giving her notice effective immediately.
So when they wake the next morning, after sharing a bed, imagine their horror at finding themselves married, and worse than that, to each other.
As the match benefits the company, Cam proposes that they stay married, for now anyway, and sweetens the deal with offering Lana the funding to realise her dream.
As they get to know each other, Lana realises that the fine line between love and hate has been crossed, but her hopes are shattered when Cam's insecurities come into play and he shuts her out.
This is a well written romantic story, filled with great likeable characters, drama, desire, a steamy relationship, and of course secrets.

"Accidentally married to the Boss" is a pleasant story. The classic accidental marriage trope (which i like), but i couldn't feel the emotions. I found the writing very "simple", couldn't get into the story. There were steamy scenes and the characters were OK. This was my first book from the author, i will try one more.

Lana had a volatile relationship with her workaholic boss, and when they attend a conference they have a disagreement, and to their horror they wake up together married. Can knows that their marriage will be good for business and persuades Lana to stay married with an incentive of funding her dreams. This is a well written story which has tension, secrets, drama, emotions, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner. Seeing the journey to love that both Lana and Cameron took was an informative one. Cam having been rejected by his birth parents that caused him to not trust easily no matter how his adopted parents showed him unlimited love and care. This caused him to put all of his time and effort in his work and after becoming wealthy, the family that turned their back on him sought him ot to get a piece of his wealth. Lana was able to cause him to finally see true love.
With love and hate being two sides of the same coin, it was interesting seeing Lana and Cam figure things out. Overall this was a lighthearted story with touches of steam intermixed with self reflection triggered “lightbulb” moments. Entertaining right to the HEA ending.

Not one of my favorite tropes but a good read. I've just never understood how they can drink so much they can still "function". The forgetting I understand.

Good romance for an unexpected wedding The story of Cam and Lana is tender, a little moving, hot, well written with good characters. It's simple, but it's a good romantic story between two characters in denial. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I enjoyed this book. The story was fun, the chemistry undeniable and the characters likable. A smart blend of drama, emotion, humor and heart, I am electing to post a candid review.
