Такі вірші, наврядчи будеш часто читати. Вони сповнені болем. Фотографії вражають і доповнюють строки.

A surprisingly beautiful and well-designed art edition of poetry.
This is a collection of poems about the war written by several authors which were printed together with some photographs from the war (every double page is a combination of one or two large picture(s) and one poem).
I honestly wasn’t impressed by most of the poems — I think that the authors are too young probably and are still looking for their original voices. Some lines are resonating and promising, and I was moved by a couple of verses, but most of the texts look too simplistic for me.
However, the most interesting aspect of the book is its large and very impressive photographs. They feel very powerful not only because of their “emotional load” but also because some of them are clearly good visual art (and no, it did not feel outrageous or “bad taste” to see the war atrocities represented as “art”). It was a very inspiring experience just to look at these photographs, and even not very good poems somehow looked much more meaningful on one page with these photographs. It’s the case when text and illustrations work miraculously together and create something bigger than they would be without each other.
I like such art editions of poetry, because poetry of words and poetry of pictures should marry and live happily ever after. However, I think that, for me, this particular book will be first of all a great photo album about this war. Another interesting addition to my “war bookshelf.”

Що сподобалось:

- всі вірші Вишебаби, які увійшли в збірку
Що не сподобалось: більшість віршів були посередні. Багато штампів, мало глибини, іноді аж ніяково читати. Наприклад:
Як тебе не любити, прекрасна ти?
Як не боротись за очі твої, і красу?
Кожен клаптик землі твоєї - тіло,
за яке життя покладу.
І хай ворог лютує і біситься,
хай зникає, мов на сонці роса.
Сміхом дитячим наповнюється
і зміцнюються
під синім небом
жовті пшеничні поля!
Як можна було всерйоз це написати і видати? В одній строфі зібрав бінго - і гімн, і прапор, і дитячий сміх, і пшеничні поля. Отак прямо в лоб, щоб було точно зрозуміло, що українскіше нема куди. Ну і порівнювати рідну землю з гарною жінкою, та образ дитячого сміху як вираження щастя і добра... ну як це коментувати? Мені це виглядає просто як карикатура чи видача ЛЛМки на поганий промпт.
Не кажучи вже про те, що автор "готовий покласти життя за кожен клаптик землі", тільки не служить в ЗСУ, а організовує благодійни заходи і поетичні вечори, де збирає донати. Ок, я не проти поетів, і волонтерство - це прекрасно, але навіщо тоді таке писати? Навіщо цей пафос, коли реальні люди буквально кладуть свої життя за клаптики землі?
Все ще шукаю хорошу збірку віршів про цю війну. Можливо, потрібно більше часу...
