Cassie Marsh's family is very rich, and she has always gotten anything she wanted. She was an extremely spoiled snobby child. But now she has grown up, and she realizes she had been a spoiled rich child. She wants to make amends for her actions, but nobody in her city likes her. They only want to be around her for her wealth. She has always wanted to be a teacher, and she answers an ad for a teacher in a small Texas town. Ethan Burton is a carpenter in the same town. His family is not wealthy, but they are a happy well-liked family. Ethan agrees to fix up the schoolhouse (which hasn't been used in 5 years) and cabin for the new teacher. When Ethan meets Cassie, he sees her as a beautiful but delicate city girl that has no business in Texas. This is a very good read, and lots of side stories are going on all the time. As with all Carol Colyer books, it was fun and interesting, and I enjoyed the journey.

Great Read
Cassie is a young lady who went to school to teach but nothing was available in her area so she set out west to a small town. The school board had selected her over the Mayor’s daughter and he became a problem for Cassie. The school and little cottage for the teacher was in bad shape and both needed extensive repairs. Thus, in comes young Ethan who is devoted to his family plus he is the best carpenter in town. As Ethan works on the two properties Cassie jumps in to help where she can. Not only is the Mayor after her job but one of the town busybodies started lies about her so some of the town’s people tried to run her off. Ethan and Cassie fell in love and together they proved that Cassie was wronged and the Mayor was caught kidnapping her and having his own teacher daughter turn against him. To get the meat and excitement of this story…one must read it. I loved it. Great jobCarol.

Cassie and Ethan
This was a heartwarming tale of a young woman who had been raised in a privileged life but wanted more of what is really important. She becomes a teacher in a small town. Not everyone is happy about it and that will cause problems. She will meet our hero and together they take on the challenges in this well written story. I became very invested in the characters and that is what I love about this author’s writing it is easy to get lost in her work. A super good story that I highly recommend.

Great Story
When Cassie went West to take a teacher's job in Texas, she never dreamed she would fall in love or about all the trouble she would find. Ethan didn't know what to expect from the new school teacher he just wanted his younger son to get an education. When the Mayor starts causing problems, they know they have to act quick and find a way to stop him. When they decide to marry the Mayor gets even angrier. How they stop him and save the day is amazing. This truly is a really good book.

A story of strength and perseverance. She got more than she bargained for when she arrived for the teaching job! So many different things than she is used to plus the extra stress of a corrupt mayer! Thank goodness for Ethan! Really great book!!

This was one of my favorite books by this author. The story was well written with Christian values and showed proof that true love can win out inspite of obstacles .

Cassie was determined to be a teacher so she heads from the north to a small town in Texas and into a battle with the mayor. This story is full of lies, rumors and deceit by said mayor. Since he wanted his daughter to be given the teacher’s post he makes every move miserable for Cassie. Even threatening her upcoming nuptials to Ethan be stopped or mayor will call the loan on Ethan’s ranch. It is a thrill a minute.
