Dinner First: Leading me to you series book 3

Rate this book
Dinner First is the sequel, and the third book in the series, Leading Me to You.

The series commences with the story of the young lives of Emma and Chloe. Two friends whose destiny was to find each other. Many years later, the girls are reacquainted through what one could only describe as fate, only to have one lose a battle five days later to a terminal illness. This story brings together Emma, Chloe, and Heather. Three women navigating the ups and downs of life, trauma, love, and loss. Between their stories are many secrets that are dying to be revealed.

The prequel in the series is Remind Me. This follows the story of the young Heather, who cannot wait to fly out from under her parents’ wings. But unfortunately, in her pursuit of freedom, she lands herself in a world of trouble, taking her life on a completely unexpected course.

Dinner First continues the story of Heather. A woman who struggles to avoid sabotaging the good things in her life. Heather’s deepest desire is to find companionship, but she is driven by the lies she tells herself, believing that she is unlovable, and her past, unforgivable.

Learning to accept her flaws has not ever been Heather’s strength. Haunted by the vivid loss and heartbreak she acquired in the past, she finally sets herself on a path to pursuing lasting inner peace.

About the author

Claudia Harrison

Claudia Harrison is an Australian author with a heart for storytelling that explores identity, family, and the quiet strength it takes to rebuild after loss. A mother of five and a self-described dreamer, Claudia writes deeply emotional, character-driven fiction that speaks to those who have ever felt torn between obligation and freedom, roots and reinvention.

Her latest novel, The Oldest Daughter, is a moving tale of love, grief, family secrets, and finding your way back to yourself. Set between the rolling countryside of rural New South Wales and the restless energy of Sydney, Claudia’s writing is grounded in place and rich in heart.

Claudia began writing as a form of personal rediscovery—journalling turned into fiction, and fiction turned into healing. When she’s not writing, she’s supporting her local community and finding joy in the messy, beautiful work of raising a family.

She believes stories are how we make sense of where we’ve been—and who we’re becoming.
