I enjoyed this one

Although I knew parts of the storyline would follow a predictable pattern, I enjoyed this version still... An unlikely couple with unforgiving parents finds love, despite their obstacles.

Bakari was that dude!

I do not have many book baes in the "Bae" category but Bakari has made the cut. Bakari skipped the whole title of the book bae, he is clearly Bae. He was the man he started by letting go of his dead weight named Pillar. He told his parents about the addition, made sure Chaska had food plus paid for someone to clean her apartment every few days. Not only that he "handled" her parents so yes he earned the title of Bae. I love how Chaska brought him peace when she had so much turmoil going on in her life. She was the calm to his storms. She thought of herself as a failure but in reality, she was a success. She may not have a "high value" career but she was working toward killing her debt and saving her coins. She made sure to make a life for herself so she didn't have to live in her childhood home or under her parents' thumb. Bakari and Chaska were made for each other it just took around twelve months before they got it together. One mishap turned into a life neither ever dreamed of before.

This is a fantastic read because you are reading about a journey of healing. Chaska was able to turn her mental status around with Bakari right by her side. His daily affirmations were the kick she needed. A positive mindset and outlook go a long way. I enjoyed this read, I would have loved to know the gender of the baby. It would have made for a great conclusion. However, grab your copy today and indulge.

good story

Minus a few editing errors, the emotions ran hella high in the brewing relationship between Bakari and Chas. Sis was sending me into a complete spiral as she continually tried to pushing dude away. I’m glad they got to experience their start to a HEA.

Great Story

This was a cool friends to lovers story! I was not expecting the place Chasta and Bakari reconnected😁, but it's clear they had a simmering attraction that would eventually boil over. I felt so bad for Chasta buckling under the weight of her parents overbearing expectations. What she really needed was some therapy. Would've shed that dead emotional weight a lot sooner. Though I love that Bakari stepped in the gap to start reconciliation. Was low key expecting the ex to pop up at some point, though once Bakari was done done, I knew it was a wrap. Chasta had so much emotional baggage to wade through, but Bakari was the man for the job. I love how patient he was with her. I really enjoyed this story!

New Perspectives

“Good For You” was my first (to my knowledge) by author Ashley. This novella was a good read. Thereafter, Chaska & Bakari are good for each others self esteem and emotional stability. However, Chaska’s parents foremost were annoying & judgmental. …Dang, Chaska is a gown woman. Why denigrate her for the life, career and personal choices she made, that’s just ignorant and disrespectful! Nonetheless, “her” new man, emotional security, pending family dynamic & new perspective looks good on her! …Go Bakari, he’s good for Chaska😊!

I loved this short love story

Although it was an unconventional relationship I love Bakari and Chas . They fit and as much as she fought him she knew it was true too. I liked how he immediately rearranged everything when he realized they would be a family . Her parents can eat dirt . I had a family like that and it makes it hard to see yourself beyond the noise. Thankfully she had Bakari to help her see the good over the bad .

Loved this book❤️

What I liked about this book was the nuggets dropped from life.

I would recommend this book to anyone going through life making mistakes. The author did a great job of showing how people can tear you down and having a person feeling as though you are worthless but how another person can show you your self worth. I also saw a different way at looking at strippers.

This is a great love story.

A very cute read of friends to loverd

Chasta was so confused about the direction she wanted her life to go in and with no real support from her parents, she was just out here! Bakari had been in a decade long relationship with Pilar going no where. One night things got out of hand and well the rest is history! I really enjoyed this short fun read. It was very cute!

The book came out of the gate with intensity between Chaska and Bakari. The answer to what they desired and needed was there all the time. It’s a quick yet impactful read. Great job, Ash!

Good 4 U

This was a good read. Short and sweet as it touched the surface of what could be issues for Chasca and Bakari going forward but mainly focused on the budding love between them. Sweet beginnings for these 2💜

Chas & Kari

I enjoyed reading about Chaska and Bakari. When life throws you lemons was a book this would be it. Despite the “lemons” these two seemed to make “lemonade”!!!
