Helloooooooo, one of my favorite books of 2023! This book took me by surprise. I was expecting your standard forbidden romance with some spice here and there but what I got was PURE. FUCKING. FILTH. And I loved every second of reading it!!

This book is about 17 year old Mia. She's been in lust with her dad's best friend, James (35H), for over a year now and the lust increases drastically when he becomes her teacher at school. The fantasies this girl has? I need her mind, lol. And James, he's just as obsessed as she is.

Their chemistry? Insane. The dirty mouth on James? Filthy. The sweet and funny moments that sneak up on you and make you go "awww"? Plentiful. I genuinely loved every single thing about this book. I'm gonna have to read all of Mahi's backlist!!

What I liked about this book?
-the KINKS. I wasn't expecting it to get this SPICY! 5/5 on the spice scale, y'all.
-it's such a guilty pleasure read! I caught myself giggling and also blushing furiously while reading this
-James' dirty mouth... my god.
-he got jealous because she got a brazilian wax. He didn't want anyone else seeing what's his!
-they use CONDOMS! finally!
-the cockwarming because I'm a whore for that
-There was no shame in the relationship of these two. It started when Mia was 17, yes. Most books with underage heroines get horribly shamed for "letting" the couple have some sort of sexual contact with an under 18 heroine. This book is different and I loved it! I adore the fact this book didn't hide away from the taboo-ness. There is (lots) of sexual contact with the heroine before she's 18 but there is no actual intercourse until literally the moment she turns 18, lmao. We all read for the escapism books bring us, so if a 17 year old getting it on with an older man gives you the ick, it's probably best to skip it. Don't be that person and shame. If you're into it though... you're in for a wild ride. ;)

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH 😭😭😭

I’ve been a big fan of Mahi Mistry since her early wattpad days! I used to read her books all the time, so when I found out that she has a few books published, I had to get my hands on them of course!

This book hit all of the right spots for me, it’s the kind of book that I’ve been craving for a while now. The relationship between Mia and James is so wholesome! Mia’s personality was to die for, and James had my panties in a twist 😵‍💫 This book has lots of Daddy kink and a sort of DDLG vibe to it (no age gap though!), I found it to be perfect! The smut was so amazing, genuinely one of the hottest books I’ve ever read! Dirty talk galore!!!! 😍 I also liked how their relationship was built off of a lot of trust and the it grew over time since a lot of age gaps romances seem to lack in that aspect.

Also, can I just mention the pacing of this book made it that much more hot??? The tension was so thick but it was… delicious to say the least.

Overall, I really recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a steamy yet cute and wholesome romance! It is a HAE and let me just say that I love you so much Mahi! ❤️❤️❤️

Anyways, I’m gonna read her other books now~

I honestly don’t even know what to say, but one thing I’m absolutely certain of is that this was one of the worst books I’ve ever read in my life.

The dialogues were so artificial and ridiculous that the plot completely collapsed into chaos and inconsistency in the second half.
The male character was a disaster, and the female character was even worse. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

The smut scenes were written so poorly that I literally wanted to gouge my eyes out while reading. Truly, it was an experience that felt like a complete lapse of reason.

I loved reading this age-gap and forbidden dad’s best friend story, James and Mia’s story was easy to read and their scenes were steamy from the start. Mia had a crush on James since she was sixteen but nothing happened between them in the beginning thanks to his relationship with Mia’s dad. They had an 18-year difference and Mia was inexperienced when it came to sex so she asked James to help her and that’s when their relationship started.

There was a lot of back and forth between them and James tried to stay away from her, but she was very determined to be with him and he also wanted her so it was a matter of time before they acted on their feelings. Their scenes were really hot and James always tried to make her confident when they were together. They had a lot of foreplay and little by little Mia started asking for what she wanted and trusting James on giving her what she needed.

Mia’s friends were really supportive and despite being a bit spoiled they always had her back and they encouraged her to go for what she wanted. Their story was really good and I loved how everything worked out for them at the end. Now I can’t wait to read Emma’s story and see what happens after that ending.

This book definitely ticks all the steam boxes. Super sexy, superb dirty talk, cute relationship.
I would have enjoyed it more had it started with Mia being 18. Anything under ruins a story very quickly for me, esp in an age gap romance. Not only that, it could have worked if Mia were written more maturely, but she wasn't. She acted like a child throughout the entire story. This is a definite no for me, in age gap romance, a key element to them working is how the characters are written, Mia needed some work for me. Also, I would have loved to see the rel between Mia and James develop more on an emotional level before the nature of their rel turned sexual.

All in all, tho, a sexy read.

“Tempting Teacher” was awkward and funny, with lots of steam and 3dg¡ng. Mia’s internal dialog was a crack-up. Her many interruptions when she tries to get to an Ø are hilarious.

Mia’s dad suddenly has to stay at the hospital, and his best friend, her teacher, James, looks out for her. She and James can’t keep from each other, and he teaches her in and out of the classroom.

But with all the laughter, this story ultimately tore me up. I’m sensitive like that. There is a lot of daddy talk—that may be pros for some and cons for others. I enjoyed the story, all the humor, the angst, the cringy moments, and the steam.

This is the second book I have read by Mahi Mistry and I really enjoyed them both. Since I like Twisted Therapist from the Dominating Desires Series I decided to read Tempting Teacher which is the second book in the series. I not only liked this book I loved it and even reread parts because I could not help myself. Mahi made it possible for me to feel every emotion both James and Mia felt throughout their ever changing relationship because I felt connected to them. The chemistry between these two was oozing off of the pages which made the kinky dominatingly hot intimate moments even more powerful. This is the best Student Teacher romance story I have ever read and while some didn't like it I found that I could not put it down until I read the last page. I seriously could see myself reading the entire book again because I enjoyed it that much. I can't wait to read the third book in this series - I think Emma's story is going to be immensely hot and worth reading.

James and Mia share a special bond that has developed over the years because of Clyde who is James' best friend and Mia's father. This man is a very compassionate, forgiving, nurturing, loyal and loving man and it comes across throughout the book. James is twice as old as Mia, but he can't help how he feels about her. Mia has had a crush and deep feelings for James since she was 16 years old. As the days draw closer to her 18th birthday the harder it becomes for James to ignore his growing desire for Mia. Then to add fuel to the fire Mia intentionally tempts James trying to push this thing between them front and center. It will be a miracle if he can hold out until she legally becomes an adult. What will Clyde's reaction be when he finds out about their relationship? When the past comes along to haunt James will it be too much for Mia to accept ?

Let's start by saying that I love all the tropes in the book. I love age-gap romances with your dad's best friend, but when I read one, I don't want to be reminded of that fact in every other chapter. Literally, I think the phrase "Oh, he is double your age/oh, he is my dad's best friend" (or some other variation of that) got repeated at least 20 times.

Okay, I can ignore that. The writing is not bad, the pace is good, the spice is decent, and I go through the book relatively easily. The characters were not exactly my favorite, but that's a personal preference. I do like bratty heroines, but Mia felt more childish than bratty. We also never got an insight into why James was single, and whether was there any drama with past relationships.

And then BOOM, we pass the 60% and stuff starts happening. There was so much revealed in the frame of 3 chapters that it leaves the reader utterly confused. And not only is the last part confusing, is also very unbelievable.

Overall, good idea, bad execution. Read at your own risk.

Tempting Teacher, da Mahi Mistry, foi uma leitura que me surpreendeu positivamente dentro do género a que se propõe. A história entre a protagonista e o seu professor — que também é um homem mais velho, amigo da família e uma figura de autoridade — entrega exatamente aquela tensão proibida e sedutora que o título sugere. A química entre os personagens é forte desde o início, e a autora consegue manter esse clima de antecipação e desejo ao longo de todo o livro. Apesar de ser uma narrativa claramente voltada para o erotismo, achei que houve um cuidado maior com a construção da relação e uma tentativa de dar um pouco mais de profundidade emocional do que o esperado, o que acabou por me envolver mais do que pensei inicialmente. Os diálogos, ainda que simples, funcionam bem, e o ritmo é rápido, sem enrolações desnecessárias. Claro que, como em outros livros da autora, a escrita não é muito elaborada e há certos clichês típicos do género, mas nada que tenha comprometido a experiência — pelo contrário, acho que funcionaram dentro da proposta.

This is a taboo or forbidden romance between Mia Miller and James Fox. Mia is Jame's student and James is also best friends with Mia's dad. Mia starts out 17 when this relationship develops and James is 35. Nothing physical happens until Mia turns 18. The biggest nicknames they call each other are princess and daddy. James is obviously very experienced and Mia is not. James is dominant, controlling, is into dirty talk, and likes certain kinks. James has been around Mia for a long time. There is a dramatic twist involving the death of main characters mother's. I was wondering for awhile what secret James was keeping. That wasn't what I was thinking, at all.

I was on an emotional roller coaster when I finished this book in three days. It was a fast-paced narrative that left me wanting more. There is a lot of taboo romance in this book. In terms of the main character, I would say that the male lead was mature and just like girls how girls want their boyfriends would be. (This type of character can only be found in books).
Furthermore, the female lead was ignorant and still evolving; considering she was 18, she should have been a bit more mature for her age. Overall, I enjoyed it and would like to read more by this author.

Another absolutely sinful read by the author! Mia has crushed on James her dad's best friend for a while, what she doesn't realise is that the feelings are mutual... Now he's also her teacher!!! How long will it take for them to give in to their desires?... Expect plenty of tension, sizzling chemistry, exploration of deep desires, friendship, heartache, laughter, inner turmoils and more throughout. Will they be able to be together despite the obstacles in their way?... Can't wait to read the next book in the series!!!.

I really enjoyed this story, even though the age-gap was a little cringey at first. Having Mia be 17 when this starts was a little young but I loved how the story played out. James was incredible and the chemistry between them was terrific. My only issue was the amount of edging that went on. Mia was a virgin and it just seemed excessive. The D/s relationship was never fully discussed and I think that would have made this a little better for me. Still a great book in this series and by this author.

I do love the story with the age gap, forbidden student/teacher but it's getting old that it's also Dad's best friend. I enjoyed the chemistry between James and Mia and I liked how he waited until she was 18 to really do any steamy kink with her. James and Mia are pretty obsessed with each other. Overall I enjoyed the story and MIa's dirty mind and James dirty mouth. It was a fairly good story but not the greatest.

This did NOT read like a relationship built or age gap ROMANCE. It read like a teens sexual fantasy written out. It was all sex, but statutory and grooming. Beyond surface deep, there’s nothing they share in common or do to grow closer, except sex. I wondered why they wanted to be together the whole time.

I don’t yuck yums, usually. This doesn’t claim to just be erotica; so it is misclassified. That’s my whole point.
