Look, Motivating Employees is a ridiculous, joyful mess, and I loved most of it. James S. Peitone throws a rogue wedding planner, a bear in a minivan, and a very patient groom into one chaotic weekend, and the scene where the whole party tries to coax the bear out with cocktail weenies is the funniest thing I've read in months. The jokes start to repeat near the end. For readers who like their comedy big and weird. Pass if you need things to make sense.

Not gonna lie, I disagreed with Anne Bruce about half the time in Motivating Employees and still couldn't stop reading. That's rare. The argument is bold, a little half-baked in places, and way more fun than a careful book would've been. Pick it up if you like a good fight, skip it if you want balance.

Quite helpful. Lots of tips and tricks and advice. Although I like the "special features," it seems there were just too many of them. When everything is a special feature, it is no longer special. I did get a lot of great ideas from this book and would definitely recommend it.

I read this book for a class. It is a quick and easy read with a lot of useful information. It was well organized. It would be nice if I was actually and manger and could utilize some of the great tips and ideas in this book.

I enjoyed the read and it contained quality information about motivation. Overall, I thought it was fairly light though not necessarily a surface level discussion on motivation.
