I enjoyed this one almost as much as the first Nero Wolfe mystery I read. It seemed a bit rushed though and the ending was incredibly abrupt. To be fair, this is from a collection of 3 short novellas found after Rex Stout's death so I imagine there might have been a reason it was not published before. Enjoyable! I'll keep reading the 3rd book in the set and probably move on to longer works of Stouts. A very enjoyable mystery for a summer night!
