The Royal Eagle

Rate this book
The Royal Eagle soars across a vast terrain of space and time. We follow reporter Randy Escalera everywhere from 1970s Mexico to 1990s Houston and beyond as, he investigates a string of brutal murders popping up all over the Lone Star State; alone with his tireless quest to find the whereabouts of his long lost, abducted sister.
Not knowing that, his effort would bring him, even more surprises on that journey; that involve a variety-of low enforcement departments around the Houston area. What starts off as a classic detective story, takes on elements of fantasy and romance, stitched together with a thread of historical events that ultimately ties together the moral backdrop of this tale. genocides, rapes, animal cruelty, labor abuse, human and drug trafficking. It offers us a bird's eye view of the seedier side of globalization, but the courage and compassion Randy and his team show in the face of those dark forces offer both, a message of hope and a call to action. Which would come to a inspectable, unpredictable and fill of mind-boggling end.
