I loved this book by a brand new author, Jeanette Skalski. She definitely has a gift and I love the way this story unfolds. “Second Chance” is a fabulous story about family, friends, connections, and finding love after a soul-crushing tragedy. So well written, it’s hard to believe this is her first novel. Amazing! I hope more stories are brewing in this author’s head. I’m a big fan of her writing.

This book made my heart so happy! I was beyond impressed with Jeanette Skalski's debut novel.

Jane Cora suffered an unimaginable tragedy in her life. Yet through hope, faith, and perseverance, Jane began the hard work of pulling herself out of the pit of disappear that she was in to find herself whole again.
Such a strong woman the character Jane is! I'm sure the author herself is a strong woman and was able to relate masterly as such in her writing.
The author's opinionated internal voices had me smiling or laughing out loud throughout the entire book. I found myself agreeing with them in nearly every situation they were called upon, and loved this extra touch to the story of Second Chance.

This is Jeanettes debut novel. I found her on Instagram and new I wanted to read her beautiful book.

The backstory of this book is difficult to read and absolutely heartbreaking. Jeanette did such a great job with these hard topics.

Jane is unbelievable, the fact that she still exists after what happened to her shows how strong she is.

I wasn’t sure about Alex at first, but ended up really liking him and realizing how perfect he is for Jane.

Jeanette Skalski your first book is amazing. I read this as a favor for a friend because romance is my favorite genre. Expecting it to be the typical love story I was pleasantly surprised with all of the twists and turns that turned it into a life story and kept me turning the pages - all 345 of them. You were very descriptive in a classy way with the steamy parts of this book and the non-steamy parts without losing me with wordiness. For those interested in reading this book I won’t add any spoilers here but will say if you like this type of genre you don’t want to miss Second Chance.
