Scrapbook - The 1910s

Rate this book
Among the key events of the decade were the coronation of King George V, the suffragette movement and the sinking of the Titanic. Above all, however, it was the decade of the Great War and many images reflect the lives of ordinary people in the face of a war which decimated a generation.

This is the sort of book you can pour over time and again. All sorts of images and snippets of information about life in Britain in the 1910s. The only difficulty is reading the "type" that is used - a kind of cursive script which I found difficult to decipher in places. Otherwise a great book. I would love to read the others in the series.
