As it says on its back cover: "The story of a boy, an old man, and an unlikely soccer team." That about sums it up. I think this could be a good book for a younger audience, but for kids reading Harry Potter and Hunger Games, in many ways, this book ties itself up too nicely and too perfectly to make for a compelling read. The struggles within sometimes seem too simplistic, and the realities for foster children are probably not as hopeful as for those in this book.
