"Do you know? Do you not know? Do you know? - Where is the terminal?"
My thoughts after reading "Kino No tabi III" Written by Keiichi Sigsawa Illustrated by Kuroboshi Kohaku
This is my second time reading the book, and my first time reading it in Japanese.
Hey, this book is amazingly short (so why did it take me like 4 months to read!!?), being just shy of 210 pages I'm quite sure it is the shortest Kino volume to date.
I love Kino so much, and reading it in Japanese has been such a fun experience, the pages are short and not very dense on text and the overall prose of Sigsawa just makes things flow so smoothly while throwing some difficult kanji or words in the mix.
I always find myself learning so many words when reading this series, and I've read some difficult books (believe me) and this being aimed at a younger audience has made me learn so much more than those! Oh, how funny life can be.
In any case, the stories on this volume are also a banger, my favorites being "the country without walls," "the country with the same face," "the country where discrimination is prohibited," and "a tale in the end" (note these were translated by my lazy-ass instead of searching the actual translations).
So light, so fun.
Kino no Tabi - The beautiful world - III is an 8/10
