Started strong and made thought-provoking points in the early chapters. However, as it went on, the author seemed to run out of things to say, and the reflections on the chapters became more and more generic, at times even preachy, and often not doing justice to the passage they were based on. Still, a useful resource for a structured reading of Exodus.
Great journey through Exodus, I love reading books from the Anglican perspective, especially now I feel like for some reason, God has brought in all these Anglican authors into my life. Definitely worth reading it, as a story, yet also engaging with the themes of the Exodus which we as Christians live out. Go through a 40 day journey with this book!
