Jorga Marker is by most accounts an average citizen. She works hard to keep her life simple, have a happy marriage and care for her father who has lived with them for years. But that’s all about to change…After a shocking, violent attack to her and her family in their home, she finds herself captive of a mysterious man who has quite by accident saved her from a lifetime of lies and an almost certain untimely death. As he seeks to find a way to be free of her and leave her behind, he struggles with wanting to know more about her. Her determination to uncover the reason why all this happened slowly gives way to the realization that finding out the truth isn’t always the best resolution.Their journey together unexpectedly inspires a transformation of everything they each thought they once knew about themselves, and each other.
Okay, I'm going to be honest here... my wife wrote this and while it was a great story, it wasn't very professionally done. The characters are wonderful, even though they curse a lot. The story line is interesting with a few twists, but it's not a new idea. I know she is planning to take it out of circulation because it is so different from what she writes now. Someone who likes her new stuff, will probably not like this book as it is definitely not Christian fiction. I like it, I'm proud of her for doing it but she has become a much better writer since this was published. And that's the truth.
