The introduction of this book reads tediously. But don't let that dissuade you! Fascinating biographical chapters about Thomas Merton, Ignatius of Loyola, Evelyn Underhill, Dorothy Day. Inspiring read. Makes one want to live a life of social action and mysticism with wholeheartedness and anticipation.
