Data Visualization 2006

This book contains the papers presented at the Eurographics / IEEE VGTC Symposium on Visualization EUROVIS 2006, organized by the Eurographics Association, co-sponsored by IEEE-CS Visualization and Graphics Technical Committee in cooperation with ACM/SIGGRAPH, which took place from May 8 - 10, 2006 in Lisbon, Portugal. For EUROVIS 2006 a total of 98 papers were submitted, from which the enclosed 43 papers were accepted based on mostly four reviews by the International Program Committee and external reviewers. The high standard of papers made the final decision by the paper co-chairs difficult, but we think that this year's program provides a broad spectrum of excellent papers ranging from scientific visualization to information visualization, from algorithms to applications.
