Straightforward decorating advice.
Keep things clean and simple.
Use white to make things look spacious.

Lots of top ten tips.
Most of the DIY projects are not things that I would do.

I would like to make the easy-care slipcover for my couch, but first I need to make curtains for the kitchen. And similar to the books suggestion for a tie on to towels, I would like to make a tie on towels for the stove.

Philosophically I like the book's simple decorating tips.
Practically the tips are too simple to be useful when starting a project.
