Neve Avery, a successful twenty-four-year-old photographer, works at Montaga Wear, a very lucrative, worldwide fashion company. Every year Neve buries herself into work completely ignoring the holidays. But this year she decides to celebrate Christmas with her boyfriend, Omari. He has planned a very special trip to his family’s cabin in the Poconos Mountains. Plus, his friends from college will be there. Unbeknownst to Neve there’s a deep dark secret held amongst the friends and terror is lurking in the woods. Can Neve survive the cold winter nights in a secluded cabin or will she become the sacrifice in an evil ritual?
At twenty-six years old Yeti Montaga is in his prime. He’s young, handsome, wealthy and the CEO of Montaga Wear. And of course these things come with perks—one of them being a slew of women. While his tribe believes in finding a mate to strengthen the bloodline, Yeti can’t see himself settling down. One night while prowling deep in the woods, he comes across a wounded being and takes her home. What starts as him trying to save what he believes to be an injured human, turns into him second guessing his views on settling down. Is he finally ready to honor his parents’ wishes and choose a mate?
T’was a Silent Night is an urban paranormal romance about two beings discovering the true meaning of love during one of the coldest winter storms in history.
This urban paranormal read was fire 🔥!! Snow witches, snow leopards, curses , spells and action pack love story!! I hope there is a part 2 or something similar in the works!! I will definitely check out more of Natavia books 📚!
Listen, lol. This book was five stars across the board. I found myself slowing down to read it, just to savor the characters because I knew it was a standalone. When I say them brothers had me rolling and literally laughing out loud I mean it. I loved Yeti and Neve but Ice gave me life! I can’t wait to read more about the siblings later on. Omari deserves his happy ending and Acer definitely deserves to enjoy life without being under her brothers’ thumb. I can see myself rereading this book in the future. Good job!
I can’t even lie! I have been in a paranormal slump lately. Nothing had been appealing to me! But I knew I could count on her to come through and get me out of it! And baby she didn’t disappoint at all! From page one until the very end. I couldn’t put this book down! I so hope to get more. Because these siblings here! Baby are a hot mess ok! Sensational
I wanted to like this book. I kept reading even though I knew early on I wasn't gone like it. There was no real chemistry build up between the hero and heroin, it was like BOOM they were together. There was no background on how these creatures and witches came about. I didn't get far so maybe it was explained down the line. I wont be finishing this story so I won't know. I couldn't get into it, and it was pretty boring to me. It did start off good and I was into the beginning but it failed.
Natavia has done it again! Wrote a book that is not like any other. From the plot to the characters to the world building - unmatched. I found myself engrossed in this book and the many situations going on in these characters lives. It was ratchet, it was funny, it was gross, it was dramatic, it was crazy and intense but never a dull moment all in winter.
This book is now one of my favorite love stories of 2023. There was such a variety of characters and views. Very well written and put together. I would love to have more on this family in the near future 😍.
Another DEEP beautiful love story!! **mini spoiler**
Natavia always comes with it in regards to her urban paranormals. Neve and Yeti were destined to be together and no matter who or what tried to come between them it didn’t work, they were married since birth through ritual. Natavia always does a good job depicting how ancient rituals work. You know its real love when you support someone even before you know that person will eventually mean more to you than you would ever know. The dynamic between Yeti and Neve is so bomb, they both may have had their qualms about tradition, but once they got together it was on and poppin’. Them fighting their feelings would have been a big contradiction. Yeti and his siblings kept me in stitches. Ukma was very miserable! Absolutely loved Omari’s character development. The sisterhood between Acer and Neve is so sweet. Ice is one of my favorites , he’s unapologetically who he is and I love it. I don’t want to give too much more away but I really enjoyed this read. I highly recommend this book, but take your time to truly understand the story in depth, you’ll love it.
This was my first read by Natavia and I truly enjoyed it…the way Yeti treated Neve as an employee was low but Ukma minions took bully to another level…Neve is Yeti’s betrothed and neither of them are aware and bit are attracted but how do you step to the girl you best friend is interested in…. now I’m so glad that Neve followed tradition because once she found out who Omari was that would have sent me to therapy (yes me)..now Omari had some demons his daddy Myku who was just evil, Omari didn’t believe in the Shakran way so he was torn in many directions now his wife Brandi whew chile her character was deep she loved Omari but he was a ho so she showed him I can be a ho too their dynamic was crazy….now Yeti’s siblings will have you laughing throughout the entire book even when they are in serious moments…thane way the author wrote about Arthedal made me want to drive around Maryland looking for a portal…I can’t wait for Acers story
The families that were the center this story or a part of a mixture of paranormal beings. There were wars, class warfare and cancel culture. The author mixed in paranormal lore with today’s societal pitfalls. The author did a good job of creating the world and setting it up. This was definitely a reimagining of Krampus and how he came to be.
While I did not connect with any of the characters, I was still intrigued enough to want to continue to find out how things would end. There were moments where I was confused if they were character mix ups, In particular, when Omari returned home and found his father’s soldier in his home.
At any rate, the story moved swiftly and had interesting action field scenarios that kept me moving forward. And while this one story was not for me, I can appreciate the office talent.
Wowwwwwww. I’m MAD as heck. I despise waiting so long for one of Natavias books. Since I read her first book years ago, I read thru them all and now have to wait so long for another one. Imma need this to be a series. I need one for all the brothers and Acer. I’m so glad Omari got a second chance to be better. Love Neve/Sno and Yetti. They went thru hell and high water but came out like champs!!? Come on NATAVIA, don’t keep us waiting. Get to work! I feel like a addict, detoxing… then I get my high back when you release a novel. I know that’s a little dramatic but that’s just how your books do me hun. I LOVE THEM!!!! Keep them coming. You know you’re a BAD AZZ!!!!
I love this author sooo much. She never disappoint on her writing style. When I read her books I feel like this is all happening right under our nose but we are to stuck to see it. Neve and Yeti were just it for sure. The feelings that radiated from them made all so real. What I liked most was acceptance though from both of them. Yeti definitely is an alpha for sure and had those crazy ways but I feel like once his feelings for Neve started to show we saw a different side to him. Same with Neve, she wasn't afraid but needed to find that strength. I liked how the siblings took to her but also the way she took to them. I would definitely like more of the family!!!!
I like the romance and the connection the Neve and Yeti have instantly. Yeti has some really man whore ways, and it brings about some serious consequences when he meets his Mrs Right. I think that Yeti’s parent are really good people but they should have done a better job at raising their children. Three out of four son’s have very little respect for women and are the real definition of “Fu.. boys”. I wouldn’t want my daughter with any of them! The second thing is the human eating Shakan was a real dark turn! Was not expecting that! The fact that most of the characters here either ate humans or raw meat was just gross.
As always I love Natavia’s books especially her paranormals because they are so descriptive you almost feel like you are there. Also you can always count on her to have you cracking up while reading her books. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because I would’ve liked to see how neve and yeti had to fight there feelings for each other more rather than just getting right into their relationship before they knew they were mated so the connection would’ve been felt more . But besides that I loved the book and definitely want to hear from the either
A Spring winter Christmas Shifter romance i didn't know i needed!!!
I loved everything about this about this book! Yeti and Neve went through hell to be together! Ukma deserved everything she got plus more! How your mama and sisters trifling.
Now Yeti's the Siblings took the cake.... they were hilarious. Everytime they got together i was cracking up.
I was actually happy Omari didn't go after Acer, she needed a man her age, plus I agree he needed time to grieve Brandy properly.
I really love this Author's work, she's definitely my go to urban paranormal writer. I really wanted Neve to stand up for herself, she needed to channel her inner Rya cause mama was fierce. Ukma worked my nerves from the start, her punishment should have been watching Neve and Yeti live their best lives. I understand why she had to go though, sad about the dad. Glad Omari turned in a different direction, I'm looking forward to reading more on Ice and Jazzie as well as Omari and Acer.
Snow and Yetti are too funny. Their relationship was difficult in the beginning but it work out for the best. Yetti's siblings mostly his brothers Everest and Ice are two people I would love to be related to. Only thing I am so tired of the Virgin and man whore story line. I would like to see female writers do away with patriarchy views in their books it rubs me the wrong way. A young woman is either a virgin or a thot that has been put up on a the pure pedestal or cast down to the bottom step. Overall excellent work. Thanks.
First Natavia I Love Your Pen Sooooo Bad! I Love The Fact That You Research Each Topic You Write About So That It Makes Sense! It May Be Fiction & From Your Mind But You Never Have Big Cats/ Wolves Eating A Surf & Turf Dinner With Asparagus & Broccoli 😂😂 I Love That You Love Black People & Black Love!! Its Refreshing To Read Books That Speak To Me In More Ways Than One! & You’re Hilarious! I Appreciate Your Work So Much! 🫶🏾 Hopefully It Didn’t Stress You Out Too Bad & We Get A Part 2 When Winter Rolls Back Around 👀
Wow this book was a mess that I couldn’t stop reading. The attraction between Neve and Yeti was strong but both was fighting hard to deny. Omari knowing he got a wife still trying to have sex and be in a relationship with Neve. Omari’s dad looking like Krumpus and that whole tribe need to eat human flesh or each other was crazy. The twist that Omari and Neve are cousins was 😳. Don’t get me started on the craziness of Yeti’s siblings cause they are a whole mood. Overall great read
Hilarious snaps flow from the Montaga family. This shifter tale is worth reading just for the laughs alone. The author did spend too much time making up tribes names and introducing names of seemingly no consequence which halted the flow of the unfolding plot but their significance does come to light. A total new ancient world is a backdrop to a story with multiple types of shifters. Drama, drama, drama. Juicy scenes of conniving betrayals and dating challenges galore.
Anytime that I start reading a paranormal from Natavia, I know that I am in for a treat. And I wasn’t disappointed. This book was everything and more. It was well written, flowed well, quite descriptive and kept my attention. Although this was a standalone, it has the potential to have quite a few spinoffs from it. And I will be excited too read them. Definitely worth reading.
I have been a fan of Natavia since I came across her books a few years ago. I've read all of her published work, some of it more than once. I can say in my honest opinion that this is her best work! The characters, the storyline, and the comedy are all top-tier. Today, I'm giving you your flowers. Keep up the great work sis, looking forward to whatever heat you drop next.
Listen…this was soooooo good!! Everest was a hot mess and them drugs had him on one, but him calling the baby a gingerbread took me out!! Baby Ice tho…😂😂😂 he was a straight character!! All of then were a mess in their own right!! Neve and Yeti were a match made in heaven they completed one another!! We def gonna need a story with an update on each character!!
This has to be the wildest and most craziest book I have ever read. I’ve never read a paranormal book like this before. I’m glad Yeti and Neve was able to work out and their bond became stronger. Yeti’s siblings definitely gave him a run for his money lol. The banter between them is funny. The loyalty that runs in the family are deep. I couldn’t stand Umka. The Shakrans are gross. So many twists and turns. Honestly, I didn’t expect any of this from a book. You will definitely be surprised.
Good read. It was different than what I would normally read. There did appear to be quite a bit of gore when they fought. I did feel sorry for Imagining when Brandi was killed. Thought for sure that Neve and Yeti lost their baby, but apparently it managed to get saved. Would have liked it if Acer and Omari became mates and to see who the rest of Yeti's brothers found theirs.
Yeti done fell in love and didn't even know it lol what they say how low can you go that ukma whew Chile bout stressed me out so bad moku a hot mess the twisted twin wowww I love how neve let rya give her the talk she needed Acer and ice is my babies glacier was so leveled had but don't go chase someone who don't want to be keep poor omari didn't really know what to do and Everest is a hot mess great book 10/10
This was a great read. I didn't expect anything less. This book had me on the edge of my seat waiting to read to see what happened next. I can't believe that omari and never were cousin this whole time. But oh girl hi side chick was crazy she was co.ing hard after Nene like im.glad it all worked out but sis we need to here from.them again need to find out if Omar I is going to finally let go
This was soo, had me laughing at 3am 😂😂😂😂whew, the sibling were hilarious and don’t even get me started on the gingerbread baby that had me crying but when he said it look like it could multiply took me straight out at 3am 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I was screaming laughing with tears do you hear me 😂😂😂😂 This penmanship is insanely good to where she created an entire paranormal species that felt so believable
When I tell you, this woman comes out of her butt with the jokes that she comes up with in these books got people at work looking at me like I’m crazy. Walking these halls laughing my butt off. I would love to read another story about the Montaga Family. Trust me you will too.
